Hello UrbanSitter families (: My names Ana (: I am currently working as a substitute teacher for preschool, elementary, middle school and some special education/inclusion classrooms. I have previously worked with infants and toddlers (0-3) as an early interventionist/child development specialist. So I have lots of experience with children of all ages & developmental levels (: I’ve also worked with summer programs, volunteered in children’s hospitals & have babysat professionally for 10+ years. I have done everything from long term, date nights, classroom pods, play dates, school or practice pickups, overnights & weekends. Special skills include arts & crafts, sports, games, hiking, homework help, dancing & singing (warning: not that great at the singing part) LOVE dogs, open to cats & other pets. I have my own fur child, Otis. As for availability, Being a substitute I don’t always know my exact location or end time. For the most part it’s M-F, end times vary from 2:45pm to 4pm. Over the years, I have worked with children of many different ages in both daycare and educational settings. I previously worked at the daycare center at RefugeeOne, where I cared for groups of children ages 1–11. I also volunteered as a tutor for middle school students, helping with English, math, and science homework. In addition, I spent two months doing service work at a daycare center in San Jose, Costa Rica, and worked for about three years in the after-school program at Lycee Francais de Chicago (French school) with children ages 3–5. Whether it was for the neighbors next door, at the church nursery or for some of my high school teachers, I grew up watching kids! Although I'm more familiar with children from infancy to 6 years of age, I don't shy away from kids who are older. Hello, my name is Kylee, and I received my B. A. in Digital and Video Film Production from Maryount California University in Palos Verdes. I love and have so much fun interacting with children. They have a such a way of looking at the world and I try to always remember seeing the world through their eyes from time to time. My mom spent many years teaching dance and drama at an elementary school which I would help facilitate by watching and playing with the kids. I have babysat since I was 16 mostly between the ages of 5 months to 6 years old. I also was actively working in the nursery at my church since I was 12. Children are amazing and can teach as much as they need to learn. I would really enjoy any opportunity to continue to learn and work with the little one's to help parent's out. Another fun job I have is working as a princess, face painter, and balloon twister. It definitely keeps my imagination sharp which is helpful when it comes to play time with toddlers and elementary age children. My mom was a single parent so I know how hard it can be.
