Hello, my name is Kristabel, a current icu nurse wanting to get back into working with kids while in between nursing jobs. I recently moved back to SD from LA, and am starting my next nursing job in early December. I graduated from UCLA in 2018 with a degree in psychobiology and spent 6 years working in ECE at UCLA. I spent 3 years in a young preschool classroom (ages 2-4) as a student teacher. I spent another year as a substitute teacher in different classrooms with ages ranging from 4 months - 5 years old. In my last 2 years of teaching, I worked as an infant/toddler teacher (2-16/18-24 mos) where I provided care to children in addition to planning curriculums and hosting parent-teacher conferences. In addition to working, I have babysat for many families over the last few years. I’ve worked in the ICU for the last 2 1/2 years, and needed a break from the emotionally heavy and stressful environment.
