Hi! My name is Natalie and am 25 years old. I'm an experienced babysitter with 10+ years of experience who has a passion for child care with a goal of becoming a pediatric nurse. I received my bachelor's of science in nursing this past May at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland and am currently finding occasional babysitting jobs as I study for my state board exam. I wanted to go into nursing because I have always enjoyed helping people. I have always enjoyed working with children, which is why I chose pediatric nursing and why I have always gravitated to childcare jobs. My mom and grandmother owned a daycare for 13 years of my life and I was a big help, so I have experience taking care of newborns all the way to teenagers. I have volunteered during the summer at many camps as a youth counselor. During the pandemic I worked through zoom to provide one on one care with children that needed homework assistance or just virtual playtime. I have worked as an after school instructor at my local elementary school, where I am currently working. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school and sport practices, crafts, bedtime routines, and tutoring. I can also clean, tidy up the house and run errands if needed. My main goal is to always make sure children are having fun in an educational way and providing a safe environment for them. I am a big fan of arts and crafts so I always carry crafts around me in case a fun little activity can be done. I also love pets and take care of them as well! I have had many hamsters, cats, dogs, chinchillas, etc...so I am fine with giving them my extra care. I am also bilingual and speak English and Spanish fluently, and wouldn’t mind giving a little Spanish lesson every now and then. Hiii!! My name is Carmina. I've been working with kids since I was 15. I started by watching my younger nephew and niece, and then began babysitting for kids in my neighborhood. Over the last few years l've worked primarily with babies and toddlers, but I love kids of all ages. Things that I like to do If it's nice out, I like to take the kids outside, go to the park, museums, go for walks or the beach if parents are comfortable with that. I’m a strong swimmer so your kids are always going to be safe with me. But if is not nice outside, I whip out my crafts skills, also love reading to kids, doing puzzles, playing with blocks, dolls or whatever the kids or babies are skill to play. CPR and first aid certificate. Until recently I was taking care of a 21 months old baby full time, I take care of her since she was 7 weeks old. Before her I worked with a family for a year and half with a boy who was 4 months old when I started and was 2 years old when I finished and parents decided to sent him to preschool! two years, before him I work with a 2 years old and a new born. I still babysit for them for date nights or whole weekends if the parents need a break, they kids are now 5, 3 years old a 16 months old baby!
