Hi! My name is Dani, and I’m a dedicated and reliable babysitter with nine years of childcare experience. I am a graduate from Cal State Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and 12 units in Early Childhood Education/Childhood Development Studies, giving me a strong foundation and understanding in caring for children. I have worked with children of all ages, from infants to teens, but I have the most experience caring for toddlers and elementary-aged kids. My past responsibilities for previous families have included school pick-ups, driving to extracurricular activities, homework help, light cleaning, meal and snack prep, and bedtime routines. I am CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety certified, ensuring your child’s safety at all times. Additionally, my work experience in the mental health field has given me the skills to provide a calm, patient, and supportive environment for children of all backgrounds and needs. Being on time, following rules, and having good communication with parents are values I hold, while still being able to make things fun and enjoyable for the kids. As a babysitter, it is important for me to be present and connect with your kids. I’d love the opportunity to support your family in providing quality care for your children.
Hi there! I am 24 years old, and recently moved from NYC to LA to work at UCLA. I am a Staff Research Associate at a developmental neuroscience lab working on an important childhood development study. A huge part of my job involves working with infants, from newborn to 2 years old. I am looking for some babysitting jobs to fill my free time, and would love to help out your family! During my undergraduate years at Barnard College, | studied psychology, with a focus in childhood development. I worked in the Barnard Center for Toddler Development as a teacher for 12 2-year-olds. I have an extensive background in developmental psychology coursework, including Infant Development and Atypical Development. During the summers, I work as a head counselor and program coordinator at a sleep away camp for ages 8-17. I love cooking, and planning activities for children to do after school.
“Amazing! Punctual and communicative throughout the day. My daughter loves her and can’t wait for their next hang out. Highly recommend.”
Hello! My name is Alley, and I'm a recent UCLA graduate with extensive experience in education and with kids. A little more about me: I have several years of experience working with children. Most recently, I've worked at an after-school program as a coordinator, creating curriculum for elementary aged children focused on expression and creativity. I’ve also worked at a daycare center in the Bay Area, where I gained lots of experience with children in all aspects of their daily care. I was directly responsible for infants as young as 4 months old, and children aged 2-12 years old at this center. In both roles I cared for several children at a time—so, I feel well prepared me for just about any babysitting scenario under the sun! I have also done occasional sitting for families in the Los Angeles area. I really love being a small part of a child’s upbringing and seeing them develop into amazing individuals. It’s been super rewarding. I have used UrbanSitter as an avenue to seek out these opportunities, and have worked with some wonderful families as a result! Besides all that, I have experience as a dance teacher at a children’s summer camp in Northern California, and have done language tutoring in both French and English. Also not bad at cooking kids favorites like mac n cheese or PB&Js. Please feel free to reach out if you're interested in having me work with your family! Always happy to chat or provide references. Alley
“Alley was just wonderful! Jumped right in and was a pleasure to work with! ”
Hello Families, I am a Counseling Psychology Masters Student at Pacifica Institute. I have been working with kids for over 10 years. I was an au pair for 2 years in Washington DC. I’m flexible, patient and present. I’m also CPR and First aid certified.
Hello there, I'm Elis! I am a caregiver specialized in early childhood development. I've been working with kids all ages for over 8 years now. In Brazil, where I’m from, I’ve worked as a teacher and manager of an English school for two years and a half, before moving to US, in this past experience, I've had the chance to learn about pedagogy, early childhood learning and educational activities with focus on learning while having fun. I have taken neuroscience courses mostly as a hobby, but I’m very passionate about mental health, and having in mind the importance of a healthy childhood, I do my best to always lead with kindness and empathy, while dealing with kids. I love singing, act, arts, crafts, and I consider myself a very active and creative person. I'm very patient and able to adapt to different types of schedules, kids tend to adapt really well with me. I'm very committed to my job and consider punctuality something essential, even though I can be flexible and I'm always open to suggestions of how to improve my services. I believe that everything can be easily solved with communication, respect and kindness, as we are a team, working together with the goal of providing the best possible care for your little one. I'm looking forward to hear from you, let me know if you have any specific questions. Thank you! (FYI: Covid vaccinated)
“Elis was so sweet and my daughter had a great time with her. Would definitely have her back. ”
