I have been working as a Full Time professional nanny in the Bay Area for over 18 years, working with children starting at 1 month old -- to preschool -- to older children. Caring for multiple children is my specialty and I have a lot of newborn experience, families tell me I am great with infants/babies/toddlers and have a lot of patience and energy for these age groups as well as all the others. After college (UC Santa Cruz, BA Psychology) I worked as a Literacy Tutor for first graders in East Oakland, and even after some time working in office jobs life lead me back to children. I started working for a Family Day Care center and there I learned valuable knowledge about caring for multiple infants and toddlers at a time. Up to 10-12 kids! It was a natural progression towards nanny work. I love to read to children, play games, creative play, running outside, playing sports, being silly/laughing, etc. My mom was an elementary school teacher and people tell me I am like a teacher. I must take after her :) I am great with infants and toddlers, I recognize non-verbal cues very clearly and think ahead. I take instruction well and I also can do well without any instruction because I have so many years experience and I am a no-nonsense type of personality. I have a genuine interest in every child's well being. Your children will be well taken care of, safe and happy in my care. ❤️ I am CPR/First Aid certified. I can travel throughout the Bay Area, I have a very reliable car, a 2016 VW Tiguan.

Hey there! I am a nursing student at USF, with a varied schedule week to week. Prior to starting this program, I worked in oncology & public health research, and earned a masters in public health from UC Berkeley. I have enjoyed working with children for years; through child care, school tutoring, and summer camp settings. I have experience caring for children from a wide range of ages (newborns to middle-school age), and caring for multiple children at once. I've spent the most time with 4-5 year old children working at summer camps including Camp Galileo, where I was given the opportunity to educate, lead, learn, and develop my skills with these kids. I was born and raised in San Francisco, so I am able to suggest plans for taking the kids out for the day, often doing some of the same activities and going to the same places I loved as a kid (parks, the SF zoo, the beach, baking, biking, to name a few). I also love hanging out at home with them, playing their own favorite games, cooking, creating art, and reading. I am also CPR-certified.

I have a teaching background and I love to make my work meaningful and mindful, always making sure I’m present for my kids helping them grow and develop as beings. My teaching style leans more towards Waldorf and Montessori and I prefer to work for no screens families (even better if you don’t have TV at home). I’m from Brazil and I speak Portuguese and English fluently. I’m very responsible and proactive, I tend to fix things as I go instead of being asked to do it. I have a CPR certificate and First Aid Training. I play the ukulele and I’m also a certified Music Together teacher, I legit sing ALL THE TIME. If you’re into music we’ll definitely get along!
