I am a teacher with over 7 years of experience caring for and providing education to children. 2 years ago I established myself as an independent teacher after having worked as an Early Childhood educator in a Waldorf school for 5 years. As an independent teacher I specialize in teaching sewing and clothing design. I also enjoy providing care for young children and pets. I am a very attentive and gentle woman with lots of experience as a teacher and I possess a natural care giving ability. I have mainly taught children ages 2-11, along with recently providing care for a young man of 22 years who had a disability. I have been teaching clothing design & sewing over the past 9 years. I really value fostering the creativity of children and enjoy assisting them in bringing their ideas to life. I am Waldorf trained and I believe in the importance of nurturing the holistic well being of young children. I have been making clothing since I was 7 years old and I am trained in clothing construction and clothing design, having operated my own clothing line for 4 years before my teaching career started. I fostered rescue cats for 4 years and I also do pet setting. I know how to administer medicines and offer a calm environment. Hello Parents:) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. I have tons of experience! 27+ years. I’ve worked in pediatric clinic, licensed daycare, teacher’s assistant, kids dance instructor. I’m a student in the health field, radiology is my goal. I am the 2nd to oldest out of 5 siblings. I started to babysit at a very young age. I flourished when I started to work with kids and it’s showed me to be patient, mature, energetic, engaging and to be tolerant. I’ve been described as very responsible, patient, quick on my feet!, dependable, welcoming & kind. I honestly enjoy and value working with children. I feel very comfortable responding to any medical emergency, medication administration, any disability, any level of health conditions, including behavioral. I have been a Travel Nanny and loved every minute of it. The one-on-one attention gave me a different perspective on how to support parents. I am a firm believer in Montessori Method. I like to be hands on, nature is my buddy, active, arts & crafts, music!, books, baking, help with homework/projects, biking/walking, any educational play is fun. Anything that helps inspire curiosity to discover & learn. I don’t shy away from bathing, forts, feedings, cleaning, mud puddles:), bed time stories, movies and of course a great Snuggle when needed. I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Biology, B.S. but I was a transfer student from Foothill College in Los Altos, CA. Growing up, i played basketball, volleyball and swimming. I swam collegiately for 2 years. I have been babysitting for over 13 years and have had a wide range of experience. I have babysat children from the ages of 3 months until 12 years old and have taken on a variety of different tasks with families. I have helped with homework, bed time routines, mommy’s helper (including dishes, organizing, floor cleaning, etc), and so much more. I currently work full time at Stanford University for the Department of Emergency Medicine as a Project Manager for both Strategy and DEI.
