I helped raise my two younger sisters growing up, which taught me responsibility, patience, and how to create a safe and supportive environment for children of all ages. I’ve also volunteered through church programs caring for children, helping supervise activities, keeping kids engaged, and making sure they felt comfortable and included. I genuinely love being around children and am often at my happiest when I’m spending time with them, whether that’s playing games, helping with homework, doing crafts, reading stories, or simply being a positive and dependable presence in their lives. I’m a college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and families describe me as kind, trustworthy, organized, and easy to communicate with. I’m also a devoted pet owner and have cared for my dog, Daisy, for the past 10 years. Being responsible for her health, happiness, and daily care has strengthened my nurturing nature and attention to detail. I have been babysitting since I was a teenager. I’ve cared for children aged newborns to teens. I enjoy making memories with children as simple as watching a fun movie, creating crafts, spending time outdoors or having dance parties. I also have some experience with Senior care. Hi! I’m Dakota, I am a 2025 graduate from Palos Verdes Highschool, now entering my freshman year at Harbor College. I will be 19 years old in January. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I am starting a new job at Creative Brain Learning as an after school teacher at Crestwood Elementary in Rancho Palos Verdes. Dance has always been a passion of mine, in high-school, I was on the song team (dance/pom) so I am very spirited and outgoing. I have extensive experience as a caregiver. I am the oldest of 2 younger siblings that I care for and 5+ years of experience with sitting. I have babysat in the past for neighborhood families through other sitting apps such as Bambino. In the past summers, I would work at La Primera Preschool with all the younger children. I would assist the caregivers and teachers in changing diapers, cleaning, and watching the children play, etc. I can prepare simple meals for your child, help your child with homework, and I am great with pets!
