Hi there! I’m Maria, a 25 year old university student seeking a job as a nanny. A little about me.. I grew up in Culver City until age 14 and moved to Santa Monica, I enjoy going to concerts and love to dance. I am an open-minded curious person; I like to try new things and travel to new places. I've just moved back from studying abroad in Europe. I lived in Germany for two years learning German. Although I am new to becoming a nanny, I do have years of experience in babysitting. As an oldest sibling and cousin, I grew up always being around children. (There are 13 of us!) As an older sister I am protective and nurturing to my younger siblings. Apart from that, I volunteered at a Summer Camp in Culver City for children between the ages of five and thirteen. A few of my responsibilities were to create and join in activities, tidy the work/play areas, and supervise groups on weekly field trips. Currently in university I am studying German as a Foreign Language. Studying language has helped strengthen my communication, adaptability, and intercultural competence skills. I would be thrilled to teach or practice any of my spoken languages with them! I am great at being interactive with kids, accustomed to following routines and completing multiple tasks- whether that be in the house or running errands. My background experience was supporting my daughter who graduated with a computer science degree. I supported her in many activities which included chess, tennis player, robotic competition, avid reader, golfing, running, swimming, singing, et al. My daughter was accepted to a prestigious high school in Los Angeles. I love children and seniors. I love and respect the wisdom of seniors. I enjoy the curiosity of a child and allowing them to explore their surroundings.

I’m Sophia 🌿 I have twenty years of experience working with children in a variety of settings—supporting kids on the autism spectrum (ages 2–18), working as a summer camp counselor teaching kayaking, and spending summers working at a beach camp in Santa Monica with kids ages 3–13. As well as an away camp working with kids of all ages for a summer when I was 18. I’ve also assisted in a Montessori classroom for ages 3–6 and have two sweet nephews (Ray Ray, 12, and Theo, 8) whom I adore and have helped care for regularly.
