I am a former elementary school science teacher and a marine scientist. I've been working with kids for 22 years: both as a teacher and as a babysitter for family (7 nieces and nephews), friends (I'm "auntie" to many more), and a professional babysitting company. I love working with kids because I am one at heart and love to discover the world at their level. I love running around playing games, doing crafts, reading books, and I am a great homework helper. I’m a parent of 1, my daughter is now an adult. I retired from the Army after 20yrs in 2016. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have worked(played) in their nursery for over a year in my church. I have also taught in Sunday school 3-5yr olds and 12-15 yr olds. I love babysitting kids because I only had 1 and wanted more. I wouldn't have been able to continue in my career or make it to retirement if it wasn't for the babysitters & family I had for my daughter. I’ve lived in multiple states and 2 other countries as well as visited 19 countries for work. I love “working” with kids because they are nonjudgmental, carefree and a great reminder to slow down and enjoy simple things in life.
