I graduated from the University of San Francisco and have spent time working at UCSF in cancer research, as well as building a nonprofit organization that I’m incredibly passionate about. I’ve had several years of hands-on experience working with children of all ages, including those with medical complexities. I’ve supervised up to 15 kids at a time while directing a summer science camp, provided consistent after-school care, and worked closely with families over multiple years. I also spent three years working at a tutoring center, so I’m very comfortable helping with homework and learning activities. I truly enjoy creating fun, engaging experiences for kids, whether that’s baking together, doing arts and crafts, playing sports, exploring parks, or organizing little “adventures” around the city like trips to museums, hikes, or the beach. I completed studies at USF in 2019 with my major in Critical Diversity Studies, and a minor in Legal Studies. I have been a family helper/nanny for over 13 years with children ranging in the ages of newborns to teenagers. I also have worked with six separate families with infant twins, one of which were preemies. I have an excellent driving record in case you are in need of help that requires me to drive. Hi there, I’m Kaelyn! After taking a break from UrbanSitter to work with families independently, I’m excited to reconnect with this amazing community. I’ve lived in San Francisco since 2017 and earned my B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of San Francisco in December 2020. Now, I work full-time as a Program Manager in the biotech industry (specifically the research side of molecular diagnostics) I’ve been babysitting since I was 2011, starting with family friends’ children & gaining experience throughout HS, College, and Post Grad with a wide variety of ages & number of children, experience with 3mo–12 yrs and 1-3 children. As well over the years, I’ve gained extensive childcare experience, including five summers as a camp counselor at Rawhide Ranch, a Western horse camp in San Diego. As a counselor for 5-12 children a week, between children 7-15. There, I assisted with meals, cabin life, teaching classes, and creating a fun, positive environment for campers. In 2019, I worked as an Au Pair in Madrid, caring for two wonderful girls (ages 8 and 11). I loved teaching them English and forming a lasting bond with their family. Childcare has always been a passion of mine. Whether babysitting or tutoring in science and math, I enjoy engaging with kids through games, songs, and creative activities.
