Hi there! I come from a big family, so caring for kids has always come naturally to me. Along with that hands-on experience, I’ve babysat for families and can provide references upon request. I’m a recent USC graduate and currently part of an HR leadership development program here in Carlsbad, which has sharpened my organization, responsibility, and people skills. I love keeping kids engaged, safe, and happy whether that’s helping with homework, playing games, or being a reliable extra set of hands for parents.
Hello, My name is Shelby and my passion and purpose is supporting children of all ages and abilities. I am a mother, wife, Education Specialist, special education advocate, and former behavior specialist. I have previously taught general education 2nd- 5th grade, life skills, an extensive support needs class, and mild/moderate special education within the public school sector. As a former Behavior specialist of 6 years, I have experience working with children of different ages, abilities, and special needs. I currently hold 3 CA teaching credentials-a multi-subject credential (K-6) , a mild/ moderate special education credential, and an extensive support needs credential. A bit about me: I absolutely LOVE being a mother and watching my daughter grow 🌱.I enjoy cooking, traveling, teaching, advocating, and spending time with my family. Fun fact: I hold an MA in Special Education 🧩 As a caretaker and educator, I strive to create a safe, engaging, and positive experience for children by getting to know each child and their individual needs/ interests. I also enjoy providing engaging age-appropriate activities for children. Everything from sensory bins, balloon animals, watercolors, bubbles, and board games! My availability best suits families in need of childcare on the weekends, in the evening, occasional date nights, special education advocacy specializing in IEP’s, and play-based social opportunities for our little ones to socialize (29 months). Please feel free to set up an interview, check my availability, or inquire about specific dates for an upcoming event. Best, Shelby
Hello, my name is Kasey I am a 32 year school contractor, previously a full-time nanny for 2 toddler boys with special needs. I am looking for families who need date nights on weeknights or weekends. I can do care during school breaks as well. I have had experience with children, ages 0 to 20plus years, specializing in individuals with disabilities and special needs. I have taken a child development class and have assisted in creating an educational preschool curriculum. I am willing to cook meals, make bottles, change diapers and help with homework. I love fun activities and am not afraid to sing, dance, and be silly with the kids. I truly believe childcare and teaching are my callings which inspired me to pursue my degree. For my pet parents, I am also an animal lover and more than comfortable with families who own pets, in fact I have my own pet sitting business as well. I am CPR and first aid certified for infants, children, and adults plus pets.
Hi! My name is Sheena and I can assure you my qualifications, personality, and attention to detail will make the pay worth your while. My experience ranges from all over. It began when I started volunteering at my church with the childcare center! I knew I had a passion and decided to go to college for early childhood education. I finished my schooling in 2022 and wanted to explore a teaching career. I then worked in a preschool for almost a year and a half. I became CPR/First Aid certified there and still am! I had my own T-K classroom with 24 children and loved finding fun ways to lead them to learn. This included social studies, math, science, writing, language/literacy, dramatic play, as well as social and emotional in my daily goals. When attendance was low I would “float” to different classes and spend time with all ages, giving me experience with the entire school that was varying from ages 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4. The director of the school would love to give me a great reference. I have been told I have a calming presence yet spunky character so it works out great for children and I to bond! Additionally, I have a younger sister with extreme allergies and a mom with disabilities so I can understand special circumstances and will prioritize your needs and directions with the utmost respect. I want you to know that I was raised “treat others the way you want to be treated“. I will leave an area looking better than I found it, ask questions so I get things done right, and value your family and home as if it was my own.
“Sheena was wonderful with our two children!”
Hey! My name is Rita and for the past 15 years I’ve dedicated my time to working with children of all ages, from pre-k to high school! I have experience in babysitting, nannying, tutoring, homeschooling, educational therapy, and also as a family assistant, house manager, and dogsitter. I’ve worked as a professional nanny for 3 different families and truly loved my time with each of them. I have the most experience working with elementary school age children- 3 years old and up. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school, taking them on outings/play dates, helping them with homework, arts and crafts, doing laundry, grocery shopping/ running errands, cooking simple meals for the kids, cleaning the dishes, organizing the children’s room+toys, and bathing the children, while also getting them ready for morning/ bedtime routines. I am very nurturing, patient, and loving. I love being outdoors and being active with kids. I will make sure your kiddos are given the best care! I also have a dogsitting business and am more than happy to watch after your furry friends as well :)
“Rita was great! Ver friendly, punctual and our daughter loved hanging out with her. We would highly recommend her and would definitely hire her again!”
