Hi! I'm the oldest of five kids in my family and absolutely love kids! I am currently in a master of occupational therapy program at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and hope to become a pediatric OT. I have worked for the past year as a registered behavior technician in an ABA therapy clinic with kids with autism in both clinic and school settings. I am CPR and First-Aid certified. I have 7 years of paid babysitting experience with children ages newborn to 13 years old. I have helped in my church’s nursery and disabilities ministry for 3 years and have coached club volleyball for kids ages elementary through high school for the past 4 years. In addition to nannying, I’m happy to cook, run errands, help out with homework, and provide transportation to school or extracurricular activities. I love to make up fun games, do crafts, and play outside with the kids I nanny! My friends would describe me as happy, kind, organized, and compassionate! I’m confident in caring for children of all ages and would love to help your family out however you need!
Growing up in a Mexican household, caring for younger siblings and cousins was a natural part of daily life and became a core responsibility for me from an early age. With a 10-year age gap between my siblings and me, I gained hands-on experience caring for both my brother and sister as infants. This early exposure to caregiving sparked a deep passion for helping others, which led me to pursue a nursing degree. Professionally, I’ve worked as a caregiver at Brookdale Senior Living for the past year and a half. And am currently in nursing school. In that time, I’ve developed a strong foundation in the technical skills of caregiving, but more importantly, I’ve learned the value of patience. Caring for older adults has shown me that, much like with children, compassion, understanding, and emotional support are just as essential as physical care. I believe my greatest strengths as a caregiver are my sense of responsibility, reliability, and the empathy I bring to each interaction. I take pride in creating a supportive and respectful environment for those I care for, always aiming to make them feel safe, seen, and valued.
I have 3 years of babysitting experience and have always loved creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for kids. Most recently, I've worked at The Little Gym for over a year and a half, where I've helped children ages 1-12 build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun through movement and play. In high school, I also spent 2 years in Crossage P.E., where I traveled to a local elementary school to teach P.E. to 1st and 2nd graders. As a first-year college student, I bring a lot of energy, patience, and responsibility to care giving. I'm very protective, dependable, and genuinely enjoy connecting with children of all ages. Whether it's helping with homework, playing games, keeping routines on track, or simply being a positive role model, I love being someone kids feel safe and excited to be around. In addition to childcare, I'm also very comfortable caring for animals. I've grown up around fish, large and small dogs, cats, reptiles, and even insects, so I'm confident working with a wide variety of pets. During my previous babysitting jobs, I regularly helped with household chores and cleaning, and I also prepared meals for the families I worked with. I'm always willing to help around the house however I can. I also have my own car and a valid driver's license, which allows me to commute reliably and provide transportation if needed.

Hey! My name is Rita and for the past 15 years I’ve dedicated my time to working with children of all ages, from pre-k to high school! I have experience in babysitting, nannying, tutoring, homeschooling, educational therapy, and also as a family assistant, house manager, and dogsitter. I’ve worked as a professional nanny for 3 different families and truly loved my time with each of them. I have the most experience working with elementary school age children- 3 years old and up. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school, taking them on outings/play dates, helping them with homework, arts and crafts, doing laundry, grocery shopping/ running errands, cooking simple meals for the kids, cleaning the dishes, organizing the children’s room+toys, and bathing the children, while also getting them ready for morning/ bedtime routines. I am very nurturing, patient, and loving. I love being outdoors and being active with kids. I will make sure your kiddos are given the best care! I also have a dogsitting business and am more than happy to watch after your furry friends as well :)
“Rita was great! Ver friendly, punctual and our daughter loved hanging out with her. We would highly recommend her and would definitely hire her again!”
