Before becoming a parent, I worked as a geologist, but I stepped away from my career to care for my son, who was born prematurely and has complex medical needs. Because of this journey, I have extensive hands-on experience with medically complex children, including caring for GTubes, ostomy bags, central lines, TPN, and working closely with home health nurses. I understand firsthand how hard it can be to leave your child in someone else’s care, especially when they have extra needs, and it’s important to me to offer families the same understanding and support I once needed myself. I am patient, intuitive, and comfortable caring for children with developmental delays, including challenges with speech, fine motor, and gross motor skills. I’m also available to care for children without special needs, and I bring the same calm and nurturing approach to every child I work with.
