For over four years I worked with children from newborn through four-year-olds in a children's ministry in addition to routinely babysitting for families including daycare pick-up/drop-off. I am CPR certified and completed a refresher course. As a preteen, I began watching children as a mother's morning helper and continued babysitting throughout graduate school. My background is in the arts, cheering, and dance. The summer before leaving for college I worked as a performing arts instructor teaching children between the ages of 4 to 14. I enjoy spending time with kids and finding creative activities to fill the time. Caring for children and families is something I came to through my own upbringing. Something that showed me a deep appreciation for the importance of emotional support and attunement at every stage of life. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development from UC Davis, and am currently in my third year of a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. Through my training, I have had the privilege of working alongside children and families, bringing both a developmental understanding and genuine warmth to every interaction My experience with children began early and has continued consistently through both family and community caregiving. These experiences shaped an approach grounded in close observation, thoughtful engagement, and a steady presence. When I am being a caretaker, I am attentive not only to their safety, but to how they think, feel, and make sense of the world around them. I engage with them intentionally, encouraging curiosity, communication, and emotional awareness through everyday interactions rather than formal instruction. My practicum training has deepened my ability to meet children where they are developmentally while providing structure, warmth, and reliability. I approach caregiving as a meaningful responsibility that requires preparation, discernment, and genuine care. Hello! Ive been working with children my entire working life. I began teaching swimming lessons to infants through pre-teens, babysitting infants-toddlers, and working as a high school mentor before going to college. I got a degree in Spanish literature and language in WA state (University of Puget Sound) and taught middle and high school in Andorra as a Fulbright fellow (borders Spain and France). After returning to the US, I went to Stanford to get my Masters in Education and worked with students for seven years across the Bay Area. I now work as a preschool/infant Montessori style educator/nanny, mentor, tutor, and educational consultant, in addition to pursuing my art in fusion dance and vocal performance. I love children, believe it is a life mission to help them feel understood and empowered, and have been described as quite the "Mary Poppins" advice, lullabies, and giant bag included :-) **Update: While I am currently looking for part-time and/or tutoring help, I am also available for occasional babysitting on the weekends/week nights!
