Hello, my name is Luz! :) I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a major in Psychology, a minor in Early Development and Learning Science, and a Certificate in Business. My experience working with children began in 2014 when I started as a Teacher’s Aide at the YMCA. In 2016, I joined UrbanSitter and had the joy of babysitting for more than 50 wonderful families throughout the Bay Area while also holding various part-time childcare positions through the end of 2020. At the beginning of 2021, I earned my Behavior Technician certification and worked at Cortica as a Behavior Interventionist with children with Autism and other neurodevelopmental differences — an incredibly rewarding experience. During my time at UC Berkeley, I also worked as a Research Assistant in a developmental psychology lab, which deepened my love for understanding how children learn and grow. I’m licensed, and have a safe, reliable car. I speak English and Spanish fluently and am known for being patient, responsible, and genuinely caring. I love engaging with kids - whether that means creative play, outdoor activities, or helping with learning. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to psychology podcasts, personal finance audiobooks, and spending time outdoors hiking nearby trails. While away from UrbanSitter for a bit now, I’ve kept babysitting my younger sister (8 y.o now) and created a wedding planning business. I truly loved connecting with families and caring for their little ones - it was always such a rewarding part of my life and I can’t wait to feel that again! POLICIES Payment: Because I plan my time and budget around booked hours, I ask to be paid for the full booking, even if plans change or you return earlier than expected. Late Returns: I’m usually flexible with end times, but please text or call if you’ll be running late. I sometimes book jobs back-to-back, and communication helps me stay on schedule. Looking forward to meeting you & your little one(s)!
Hi! I have over 10 years of experience caring for children of all ages, from babies to teens. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and have worked as an elementary school teacher. I’m patient, responsible, and truly enjoy spending time with kids. I’m also comfortable driving and can help with pick-ups, drop-offs, and activities.
“Fernanda has been an amazing babysitter for our family. She is warm, dependable, and truly wonderful with children. Our 5-year-old connected with her immediately and is always excited when she comes over. She has such a calming presence, and bedtime always went much better when she was here. We also really appreciated that she speaks Spanish, since our child is currently learning the language. It was such a great opportunity for extra practice in a fun and comfortable environment. I would absolutely recommend her to any family looking for a caring, trustworthy, and attentive babysitter.”
Hi everyone, my name is Sasha and I am a student at college of Marin searching for a part time job. I have been babysitting and was a camp counselor since high school and I have experience with toddlers and older children. I have taken kids to after school programs, cooked dinner, helped with homework, and I have house sat and pet sat both cats and dogs.
“Sasha was great! Friendly and very sweet and engaged with our son.”
Hello dear families! My name is Daniela. FYI My middle name is Lucero :) not sure how to change my name on my profile for my first name Daniela but it’s still me! (Not available from the 27th through the 31st of January, 2025.) I’m from Colombia and I’m 25 years old. My native language is Spanish and I am fluent in English. I also completed 4 years of university in Colombia. I was studying a major in foreign languages French and English preparing to be a teacher. I am a very responsable, loving, patient, and organized person. I love spending time with children. I was an au pair for 2.5 years. I lived with a family in Novato, CA for 2 years taking care of her lovely daughter since she was 1.5 yo and I’m still in contact with them. Lmk if you’d like to talk to them as a reference. Also lived in Chicago for 6 months with a family of two kids ( toddler boy and 7yo Girl). I have a little sister, she is eleven years younger than me so I use to take care of her since she was a baby. I was able to feed her, play with her, do her laundry and change her diaper. I’ve volunteered in the past at a rural elementary school in Colombia helping children with class activities, assessment support, classroom preparation and behavior management. At university I did tutoring for 1st semester students in French and English. I was in charge of preparing a 1 hour class with activities and quizzes. That was actually fun, I felt like a real teacher. I was also part of the dance club back in high school and college, I love dancing!! My responsibilities have included: •Driving the kids to school, museums or playgrounds. •Pick up and drop off from/to school. •Making lunch or dinner for children. •Doing different activities like crafts, painting, and dancing. I Love doing art! And of course playing children’s favorite games or sports. •Help with homework occasionally. •Tidying up the children's room or playrooms. I’m very good at organizing. Looking forward to connecting with you <3 Best, Dani
