Hi! My name is Jenny and I have over 15 years experience in childcare. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago and worked in the children's department of a library for several years. I did storytime, crafts, and helped children with homework and research at the library. I also love painting and drawing and enjoy teaching children how to draw, instilling in them my passion for the arts. I'm a lifelong bookworm, love reading with children, and hope I encourage their own love of books. Books, art, and a great role model can enrich a child's life and watching a child's development is very rewarding. I have worked primarily as a nanny the last five years since moving to Los Angeles. The wonderful families and children I've worked with and grown close to has sustained me in LA. I'm lucky to have created a network of families I babysit for and to have a role in their children's lives. I have the best parents in the world and I model the selfless, gentle, and devoted way I was raised. I have been responsible for multiples, pick-ups, drop-offs, meals, homework help, bathing, bedtime and overnight stays. I am an animal lover so I am more than happy to help with pet sitting and care as well. I also have experience working with special needs children. I am certified in CPR and first aid, and I am adept at multitasking while supervising children. I am also skilled in preparing nutritious and delicious meals and snacks for children. Additionally, I have experience in sleep training, potty training, and led weaning for babies transitioning to solid foods. Hi! I’m Bailey 😊 I’m a UCSB alum (BS in Psychological and Brain Sciences), EMT certified, and currently in registered nursing school. I have 8+ years of experience caring for children of all ages. I worked at the UCSB Child Care Center throughout my undergraduate years, including in the infant and toddler rooms where I regularly cared for multiple children at once. I also previously worked in Labor & Delivery as an OB/Surgical Tech, where I assisted in deliveries and C-sections and gained strong exposure to newborn care and hospital safety. I’ve worked as a paraeducator supporting children with special needs and currently work as a substitute teacher (TK–12 + SPED), so I’m very comfortable with a wide range of ages and needs. I’m warm, reliable, and truly love caring for kids—it’s a big reason I’m pursuing nursing. I enjoy creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment where children feel comfortable and supported.
