Howdy! I’m originally from Texas and moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to start a new chapter — and I’ve been here ever since. With over 15 years of experience caring for children from newborns to preteens, I’ve had the joy of supporting many families through their childcare journeys. Hi , my name is Queenie and Fung is my official name. I graduated from East Los Angeles community college. I’m a house wife and a mother of 13 year old son. My family includes my husband, my son and 2 dogs. I enjoy being a babysitter because l love kids. I volunteer at my son’s school, Repetto Elementary School for 3 years, assisting kindergarten teachers with craft projects . Additionally, I have volunteer at the San Gabriel Humane Society Animal Shelter for 8 years, walking with the dogs, doing laundry and helping with events. I also serve as the secretary of the Honor Society at Sunshine Tennis School at Tample City, where my son has been a student for 6 years and my husband volunteers as a coach almost every Sunday morning. Furthermore, I have volunteered at my son’s Boy Scouts workshop at the T286 Troop in Monterey Park since he was 6 years old. Through these experiences, l have learned how to care for and communicate with both children and animals. I cook for my family every day and manage household chores. I am seeking a part time job to continue supporting my family. I hope to hear from you ! l took a Babysitter training with the American Red Cross and also received a certificate on August 3, 2024. I have completed the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) program and received their certification, along with a First Aid certification card on August 15 and 18, 2024. I attended the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) basic lifesaving training class at the Monterey Park Fire Department in November 7-10. The CERT certificate will be sent out to participants in a couple of months.

I grew up babysitting neighborhood kids and family friends. I have worked as a gymnastics coach to young children where I helped to build motor skills and core strength with fun activities. I care about creating a positive and stimulating environment for children to encourage growth and imagination. I have taught piano in my own studio and believe in the musical influence in brain development. I am also a proud mom of two wonderful and vibrant girls.

I am a dedicated and compassionate caregiver with over two years of professional experience working in private homes, state facilities, and hospital settings, including Kaiser Permanente. My background spans caring for children of various ages and needs, with a strong emphasis on safety, emotional support, and enrichment. Internationally, I have participated in mission and mentorship programs throughout the Philippines and Thailand, supporting underserved and at-risk children through education, structured activities, and positive guidance. I have supervised classrooms of up to seven children at a time, led mentorship programs for troubled youth, and organized community initiatives such as beach cleanups and educational surf programs that encouraged both discipline and joy. In addition to my caregiving experience, I am currently a holistic chef working with a luxury hotel, where I specialize in creating mindful, nourishing snacks and developing healthy eating habits for children, including those who are selective or hesitant eaters. I enjoy making daily routines fun, engaging, and meaningful while fostering curiosity, confidence, and healthy habits. I am passionate about supporting children’s growth in a way that feels safe, exciting, and nurturing, and I truly value opportunities where I can make a positive impact in a child’s life.
