Hi parents! A little about me: I'm an independent visual artist, musician, and dancer, and I like to write, read, study languages, spend time with animals, and travel. I graduated with a BA from University of San Francisco in 2014, as a Media Studies major with Spanish and Gender Studies minors. I am vaccinated for COVID-19 and promptly receive booster vaccinations. I have tons of experience with kids! I have used UrbanSitter since 2012, and have had the opportunity to work with kids of all ages - particularly infants as young as 3 months, toddlers, and 3-to-5-year olds. I’m great with older kids as well - in the past I have also coached cheerleading to ages 6-14, worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor for children aged 6 months to 13 years, tutored middle school-aged kids in a variety of subjects, and worked in a candy store swarming with little ones. So I am comfortable and confident in babysitting for all ages! I am also CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certified. I am well-versed in composting/recycling and other environmental concerns, and am happy to teach children about eco-friendly practices. And most importantly - I love being around kids (and animals)! My favorite activities to do with kids are that of the artistic and adventurous variety...I am happy to spend an afternoon watercolor painting, exploring a new park, making crafts, baking vegan cookies, or navigating a museum. The more engaging the better - if it's a nice day I'd rather be outside taking a walk or traipsing on the beach! I am dedicated to nurturing your child's curiosity, creative-thinking, and adventurous spirit - as these are qualities in myself that I am happy to have harnessed at a young age. Hi there! My name is Monica. I have about 7 years paid experience in babysitting and been babysitting family members on and off since high school. I am also certified in First Aid/ CPR/ AED. I love kids. I enjoy watching, playing as well as teaching them. I love to nurture their interests and development whichever way they chose. **summer availability*** Hello UrbanSitter families (: My names Ana (: I am currently working as a substitute teacher for preschool, elementary, middle school and some special education/inclusion classrooms. I have previously worked with infants and toddlers (0-3) as an early interventionist/child development specialist. So I have lots of experience with children of all ages & developmental levels (: I’ve also worked with summer programs, volunteered in children’s hospitals & have babysat professionally for 10+ years. I have done everything from long term, date nights, classroom pods, play dates, school or practice pickups, overnights & weekends. Special skills include arts & crafts, sports, games, hiking, homework help, dancing & singing (warning: not that great at the singing part) LOVE dogs, open to cats & other pets. I have my own fur child, Otis. As for availability, Being a substitute I don’t always know my exact location or end time. For the most part it’s M-F, end times vary from 2:45pm to 4pm.
