Hello! My name is Rebecca, but just Becky's fine :) I earned my Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts (performance emphasis) from San Francisco State University with honors in 2015 and my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University just this year! I am about to start full time work as an associate marriage and family therapist. I had heard so many great things about Urban Sitter from friends, so I decided to join in on the fun in 2015! I worked for Urban Sitter from 2015 to 2023, everything from occasional to full time. Unfortunately I had to take a medical leave last year—but now I’m healthy, out of school and can’t wait to work with your kids again. It might not be my full time job anymore, but kids are the best reprieve from the stressors of my day job. I have experience with a wide age range, from kids as young as two weeks to as old as eleven years. I've worked with over 100 families by now, so I'm pretty well prepared for what's thrown my way! I'd say the age range I tend to work best with is infant to toddler--but that's not to say I don't enjoy working with kids older. Got a seven year old obsessed with Pokemon? Me too. I'm all for it. Can't wait to meet and hang out with your wonderful kids! Note: Due to ever increasing gas prices and bridge toll, please note that I will usually not travel to SF or across another bridge for a job less than $100 overall. This of course does not include any jobs I may apply to on the job board. There may be outliers to this rule (for example: if I’m already in SF that day), so it never hurts to message me and ask!

Kids loved Rebecca immediately and she was prompt, professional and super easy to coordinate with!

I'm a sweet, independent, proactive, fun, lovely, calm, easygoing, and strong individual. Currently residing in Redwood City, I firmly believe in the importance of children's education, which begins at home and is a shared responsibility between parents and caregivers. Additionally, I have excellent driving skills, and clean record. I’m certified by American Heart Association CPR/RCP Pediátrica. Also, vaccinated for Covid-19. I am bilingual Spanish and English. I can teach Spanish too and early childhood development units. Whit prior experience caring for children ranging from 18 months to 17 years old.

Hi! My name is Bianca and I am from the Bay Area! I have babysat and nannied for kids of all ages including newborns (this includes newborn feeding time, newborn dishes, breastmilk and formula experience, putting down for naps, regulating sleep schedules, taking for walks, etc.). I have also helped mentor many kids between the ages of 3 and 16. I am CPR certified (currently working on getting that renewed), own a car, and play the piano by ear. I'm a photographer and I also love ceramics and the chemistry behind making my own glazes! I really love math and the sciences too. I have some knowledge regarding children’s psychology that I acquired in my studies for my bachelor’s degree. I am working towards going back to school for my masters/PhD in psychology as well. I am an ex student-athlete of 17 years, and still love to be active. I love to cook, and of course I love the company and brilliant minds of kids! I speak a bit of Spanish, however it's been a while since I have spoken it regularly so I’m a bit rusty/mainly good with basics. I’m also learning Japanese, and I know a very small amount of ASL. I love animals (I have 2 cats), and I love dogs and dog-sit occasionally. I would love to meet you!!

**Elementary School Art Teacher new to SF!** Hello! My name is Amanda, I'm 31, I am a creative person who loves children! I've spent the past four years working as an elementary school art teacher in Massachusetts, and before that, I was a nanny in NYC with experience caring for children of all ages. A bit about me: I practice yoga and tai chi, I'm learning Chinese and Urdu, I study psychology and philosophy with the intention of being an existential psychotherapist for adults and an art therapist for children. I started my school's first meditation club, and I host events for women to gather to make art and connect. I love talking with kids, listening to them, asking questions, and seeing the world through their eyes. I'm also able to bring art supplies and give fun, hands-on art lessons, like jelly printing! As a teacher and caregiver, I focus on creating a safe, imaginative, and mindful environment where kids can express themselves freely and feel deeply cared for.

Amanda babysat my 3-year-old for about three hours and did a wonderful job. She arrived on time, engaged with him right away, and kept him happily occupied the entire time. She made mealtime fun by turning it into a game, took him for a stroll, and played with him. My child seemed very comfortable with her and really enjoyed his time. I would definitely recommend her and would be happy to hire her again.
