I’m a nanny with 8 years of experience caring for infants, toddlers, and young children, and I have full weekday availability throughout May for short-term, backup, and last-minute care. I’m especially confident with infants and early development, and I’m currently continuing my education in doula training, which has strengthened my knowledge of newborn care and postpartum support. My approach is calm, attentive, and engaging—I focus on creating a safe, nurturing environment while supporting routines and keeping children active with age-appropriate play, outdoor time, and simple activities. I’m reliable, flexible, and comfortable stepping into new environments quickly, making me a strong fit for families who need dependable daytime support on short notice.

We were anxious about finding a caretaker, as our son had been home with us since birth. We took a leap of faith by requesting a nanny through UrbanSitter, and we are so thankful Alani responded. From the day we interviewed her, she impressed us with her punctuality, respect, and confidence, which are all qualities that have carried through in her care. Alani is patient, loving, and kind (and hip!). She is always attentive and present with our son, and we quickly came to trust her, even with taking our family car on toddler-friendly outings. Our son adores her and always looks forward to seeing her. We especially appreciate the developmentally-appropriate toys and activities she introduces. His speech and social skills have grown tremendously. She is reliable, a great communicator, flexible when needed, and overall the perfect fit for our sweet boy. We feel so grateful to have her and look forward to continuing to have Alani play such a special role in our son’s life.

Hi, my name is Angelina, and I am a fourth-grade teacher in SFUSD. I love working with kids and have experience across all ages. Over the summer, I am available for all sorts of jobs. Please let me know if you have any questions!

We hired Angelina to watch our son for an evening after an in-person interview. She was SO warm and engaged with him! While we were getting ready, she must have read him no less than 20 books with tons of energy and excitement. I'm so grateful we met Angelina, she's great with kids!

Booked by 6 families in San Francisco, CA

Hello, My name is Anne and I’m a long-time San Francisco resident living in Bernal Heights. I love working with young people of different ages and have a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate a wide range of needs. I’ve raised our own two kids and have worked with other people’s children on and off for over 25 years, as an educator and childcare provider. I’m nurturing, organized, and responsible. Being punctual and staying safe are my top priorities. I also love to have fun and go on outdoor adventures! I’m a positive and energetic person with a passion for languages, healthy food, and good stories. Informal training in theatre and expressive arts informs the creative work I do with children. While traveling and living overseas, I have lovingly gathered a mobile library of fun, interactive books in French and Spanish. When our children were young, I helped run a bilingual (Spanish/English) daycare program. I launched an arts program in our Spanish immersion elementary school, where I assisted in teaching art and literacy for over a decade. In tutoring older children for many years, I focused on English and French language skills, writing, and SAT prep. Other professional endeavors include working in the field of public health. I studied in the USA and in France. I am happy to help your family in any way you need. I have a safe car, excellent driving skills, and a clean driving record. I prefer not to do screen time with kids. I am AHA certified in infant/child/adult CPR and first aid. I am fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19 and am up to date on this and other immunizations. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to set up an interview. I have many excellent references, which I'm happy to furnish upon request. I look forward to working with you and your families!!!

Anne is the absolute best. From the start, it immediately felt like we had a relative coming over to watch our 6 month old son for date night. Anne was punctual, asked all the right questions about bedtime routine, and her communication throughout the night allowed us to enjoy date night worry free! She is clearly a natural with kids. We look forward to having Anne watch our son again soon.

Hello there! My name is Juabidun, and I have been babysitting for about 10 years now! I have primarily babysat my 3 younger siblings from when they were newborns, but I am also trusted with my cousin’s and aunt’s children. I can change diapers, feed children, and bathe as well (children who are able to stand and are potty-trained). I love being able to talk with children and watch them grow because I can see the next generation of people thriving in front of me. I also love to hear the ideas of young children about what they care about, believe in, and their future hopes. My biggest belief is that when taking care of children, being the most patient version of myself is crucial because these are beings that are still learning and growing. They deserve love, affection, and attention in order to become the best versions of themselves. In addition to these things, I am capable of doing light house-keeping/chores and am open to running small errands as well. I hope that I can be a great candidate in your babysitter hunt :)

Juabidun was amazing with our 10 month old when he had a fussy evening. We would definitely hire her again!

I grew up with 3 sisters and 2 brothers and we had dogs and cats. I played sports and first babysat at the age of 13. I love the beach and body surfing, I love to sing to the little ones and teach them songs, I like to have fun reading books, eating food, playing with just about anything (just a glass of ice water is entertainment for 30 minutes with a 15 month old-- yes, ice.. first it's solid and then magic-it disappears). I love to problem solve... or use the tool of distraction. And I do believe that "to every task that must be done there is an element of fun". I work part-time at the Ferry Building Book Passage and have been there for two and a half years, it's a great environment and I enjoy working with the public. There a lot of kids who come in on the weekends and I have fun getting to know them and what they like to read. I have been taking care of a year and a half boy for spurts this past year and it's been so much fun. We would go to the Main Library storytime for an outting and it was a real treasure. It is such a pleasure to work with kids, as they are so much in to the moment.

Thank you so much for your help! Would definitely recommend Lorraine, she was wonderful.
