$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in San Francisco, CA

Hello, my name is Daniela. I am an experienced childcare provider. I work full time as a literacy teacher and as a 3rd grade afterschool teacher at a bilingual elementary school in SF. I have worked as an English teacher in Spain for the last two years, with students from Pre-K to high school. I enjoy working with all ages including middle schoolers. I love to craft, crochet, play sports, and go to the park when the weather permits. I teach chess, dance, and drama at my school so I enjoy fun table games and movement based activities. I speak multiple languages that being English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I work with students who are on the autism spectrum as well as students who have ADHD and work to accommodate all learning environments and help children build their behavioral skills in a kind way. I love what I do and very excited to work with you and your family! Please feel free to send me a message if you have any specific needs that you would like me to consider.

Daniela was on time and very friendly. The kids enjoyed playing with her and she was very understanding when I ordered dinner late. Would hire again!

Shae 1 review
Oakland
$24 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in San Francisco, CA

Hi! I'm Shae and I am a flight attendant based in San Francisco, originally from Iowa. While I am new to UrbanSitter, I am not new to providing child care. I began babysitting for family friends and families around my neighborhood when I was 13 years old. My mother also ran an in-home daycare business for most of my younger life and I always loved getting home from school and running over to help her care for the infants/toddlers. Being a flight attendant is my full time job but I am looking to cut back on flying all around the world and spend more time at home. My job is flexible and allows me to have a lot of availability. I am a very crafty person. In my free time I love to do puzzles, make things out of clay, sew clothing and household goods, and any other crafts that may peak my interest. I love to entertain children with hands on crafts. At previous jobs I also really enjoyed taking the children on daily outings like walks to the park, hiking, or to a museum or the library. I currently live in Oakland and am happy to travel to jobs nearby in the city or surrounding areas. I previously lived in North Beach so I am familiar with areas in the city as well as the east bay. My flight attendant training lends well to caring for children as I have become accustomed to diffusing meltdowns and handling stressful situations. I have also dealt with a handful of serious medical events through my job and am trained in CPR (both for infants and adults), how to use an AED, choking, seizures, and other first aid. Also, I have people close to me who are autistic so I am well equipped with the tools needed to care for someone on the spectrum. I am looking forward to being an instrumental part of caring for you child. If you think we would be a good fit, please reach out. I look forward to hearing from you!

Shae is a wonderful sitter. Very warm and kind and my toddler girls took to her instantly. Played with them at the park for a very long time. Definitely recommend her!

Shirley 2 reviews
Berkeley
$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in San Francisco, CA

Hi! My name is Shirley. I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) Registered Nurse based in Berkeley, offering dependable part-time, backup, and date-night childcare. As both a nurse and a mom to a 13-month-old, I understand how important it is to find someone you can completely trust with your child. My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment while following your family’s established routines and parenting preferences. I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play, including library story times, outdoor adventures, sensory play, music, crafts, and trips to local parks and zoos. I believe in fostering independence, kindness, and confidence while supporting each child’s social, emotional, and developmental growth. My background as a Registered Nurse, along with my BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certifications, allows me to provide an added level of safety and confidence for families. I’m also the oldest of five siblings and have years of experience caring for children of all ages. I’m available for occasional, recurring part-time, and backup care. My standard rate is $26/hour. For day time care and families who are comfortable with my well-socialized 13-month-old joining us, I offer a discounted rate of $24/hour, providing a wonderful opportunity for age-appropriate parallel play and social interaction. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your family and discuss how I can best support your childcare needs. I look forward to connecting with you! — Shirley

Shirley is incredible! Super professional and very charismatic! She knows exactly what she’s doing, would hire again!
