Hey there! I am a nursing student at USF, with a varied schedule week to week. Prior to starting this program, I worked in oncology & public health research, and earned a masters in public health from UC Berkeley. I have enjoyed working with children for years; through child care, school tutoring, and summer camp settings. I have experience caring for children from a wide range of ages (newborns to middle-school age), and caring for multiple children at once. I've spent the most time with 4-5 year old children working at summer camps including Camp Galileo, where I was given the opportunity to educate, lead, learn, and develop my skills with these kids. I was born and raised in San Francisco, so I am able to suggest plans for taking the kids out for the day, often doing some of the same activities and going to the same places I loved as a kid (parks, the SF zoo, the beach, baking, biking, to name a few). I also love hanging out at home with them, playing their own favorite games, cooking, creating art, and reading. I am also CPR-certified.
“Maddy got along great with our three year old daughter! Maddy was prompt, friendly, and jumped right into an active day with our daughter, which included a walk to the nearby park. Definitely recommend!”
I’m originally from Colombia and recently moved to San Francisco from Colorado to continue my education while doing what I truly love—supporting families and caring for children. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Physical Education, and over four years of experience working with newborns, infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. Before moving to the U.S., I worked as an elementary school teacher, and during the past few years I’ve worked as both an au pair and a nanny, caring for children from 2 months to 16 years old. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, and I believe every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore the world around them. I enjoy planning creative activities, crafts, outdoor adventures, reading, and helping children learn through play. Families describe me as warm, caring, patient, organized, responsible, and dependable. I naturally take initiative, keep routines running smoothly, and love creating a calm, positive environment where both children and parents feel supported. Beyond childcare, I’m happy to help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, organizing, errands, and pet care—whatever helps make your family’s day a little easier.
“We hired Itsa for household help. She was very efficient, punctual and was very good at the chores. She helped with laundry, light cleaning, dishes. On the personal front, she is polite and easy to talk to! We plan on continuing to hire her.”
Hi parents! I’ve been in United States since 2019. I came as an au pair and now I’m a college student. All this time I had the pleasure of taking care of kids from different ages: 8 months to 12 years. With the kids I like to read books, paint, play, take them to parks or different places if the parent is comfortable. I’m a person that is very patient, calm, respectful and trustworthy.
“Karen was very friendly and professional, our daughter really enjoyed her! We would definitely hire her again. ”
Hi! I’m Karina. I went to college at UC San Diego and since graduating in 2013 I’ve worked in both preschool and elementary schools. I was a Behavioral Health/Case Manager at two SFUSD elementary schools. Before that, I spent many years as the after school Program Manager at an SFUSD elementary school. I have been babysitting since I was a teen and genuinely enjoy being with kids. Some of my favorite activities with children include arts & crafts, playing board games, imaginative play and reading. In my spare time I enjoy yoga, dancing and taking long walks. I’m interested in occasional babysitting opportunities. Thanks!
Hi! I'm a graduate of the University of San Francisco. I'm originally from Georgia, but I have been living in the city for 8 years now. I’ve been babysitting children since I was 14 and have volunteered at several children camps over the years. I have experience with children from 4 months to 13 years old. I’ve been working full-time in childcare for the past four years. Along with childcare, I have experience in management, retail, assistant, and food service work. I have also been driving for 9+ years with a clean record. I love children because they're full of energy and always have fun/unique perspectives on everything. I consider myself an active, caring, and energetic person. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and art!

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
