Hi! My name is Cassandra. I am from Vallejo, CA. I am a college graduate with a B.S. in Molecular Biology and a Minor in Chemistry from Dominican University in San Rafael, CA. I graduated in May 2018 with many honor society achievements and graduation honors. I’m also currently finishing up a B.S. in Nursing! I've had a lot of experience babysitting children of all ages from infancy to preteen and some teenage. I am certified for Basic Life Support for infant/child/adult, which includes CPR/AED. I am also an instructor for both! A little more about me... Currently, I am a high school science teacher (Chemistry, Biomedical Innovations and Medical Interventions). I've played competitive basketball and volleyball as well as the piano all my life. Additionally, to continue my love and passion for sports, I volunteer my time to coaching girls basketball and volleyball. I am the head coach for the JV team and an assistant coach for the Varsity team at a the private high school I teach at. I am also the JV head coach for the volleyball team! I speak a little Italian and I can fully understand Tagalog. I’m hoping to take classes soon to be fluent in Italian again! I look forward to meeting and helping your family!

Hi, I'm Sarah! I am offering child care and household services. I have 7 years of experience providing private childcare. I've worked with infants, toddlers, and children up to 11 years old. (One of them told me I get along well with kids because I'm a child at heart, LOL) I have a nursing education background, and currently working at UCSF, Cancer Research Department. *** I am on a hiatus from Urban Sitter and will update this when I return *** I graduated from Dominican University of California with a Psychology major with a double minor in music and art. Now I have just graduated with a masters and post-masters degree in educational psychology. I have worked in two elementary schools and one high school over the course of my graduate training. I now work in an elementary school full time and love being with the kids! I have a few years of babysitting experience not counting the nannying jobs and occasional babysitting jobs from here, primarily for younger cousins, my niece, and close family friends, and now with multiple families here on Urban Sitter. When I go home to visit my family I helped my aunt teach Sunday School at our church for preschool and kindergarten age children. In high school, I was a TA in a classroom for 4th graders as well as an inclusion specialist for 3rd graders for part of an academic year. I also was paired with a second grader and helped teach her how to read (which was one of the best experiences I’ve had). My favorite part of my job is that I get to work with kids because they have a sense of wonder. They believe in magic and have tons of curiosity in the world, and almost everything is something new which is fascinating. Their imagination is a wonderful thing. All of these characteristics are things that I admire as they keep me on my feet and always ready to explore. I love going on adventures to the park, beach, and anywhere else that could be fun, as well as playing all sorts of games to interact with the children! For older kids, I love to bake with them because it’s fun, teaches them important skills for cooking, and gives them a nice treat at the end!

Hi! My name is Taylor, and I’m a nursing student and collegiate softball player at Dominican University. I’ve been caring for children since I was 13, and I truly love creating a safe, fun, and positive environment for them. Over the years, I’ve helped families with school drop-offs and pick-ups, meal preparation, homework support, playtime, and running errands. I’m also a big animal lover and very comfortable around pets. I believe in being patient, kind, and attentive with children while making sure they feel cared for and have a great time. Babysitting isn’t just a job for me, it’s something I genuinely enjoy.
