Hi families! My name is Melany, and I’m a CPR & First Aid certified nanny with over 10 years of experience caring for children of all ages from infants to school-aged kids. Working with children has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I truly enjoy helping little ones learn, feel safe, and have fun. Parents describe me as warm, patient, and very responsible. I always arrive on time, communicate clearly, and care for every child as if they were my own family. I’m also an international psychology student, which helps me understand child behavior, emotional development, and how to support kids with gentle, positive guidance. What I offer: • CPR & First Aid certified • 10+ years of childcare experience • Calm, nurturing personality • Strong communication and reliability • Experience with bedtime routines and creative play • Comfortable with pets (I love animals!) I would love to support your family and create a safe, fun environment where your child feels happy and cared for. Looking forward to meeting you!

Melany was so great! She is reliable, professional and takes wonderful care of our toddler.

Kind, nurturing, dependable mom 😊 here. New born to teenagers, I've been there and cared for them all. Experienced with ASD, ADHD, and deaf children. Multiple children, twins and care at events. Skilled at organization, household management, travel planning and project management. CPR, First Aid, Fire, Safety, Earthquake Response Trained / Cert. Non-smoker. TDAP, MMR, Flu up to date; as well as all other current vaccines. I enjoy teaching my autistic grandson, hanging out with my deaf daughter, or working on an engineering project. 🤗 I can sew on buttons and make minor repairs in clothes. I am fantastic at fabric paint, arts and crafts, etc. I like organizing, cleaning and cooking. Used to live on a farm growing up, there is no pet in your home that would intimidate me. * Special note: I am a living kidney donor to my friends son in 2013. I prefer not look after children who are very ill. If your child is running a fever, vomiting, or has just begun a raspy cough I would expect you pass me by; I will not show up to your home in this manner as well. Thank you for honoring my request. "If you want to touch the past, touch a rock. If you want to touch the present, touch a flower. If you want to touch the future, touch a life."

Hello Families ! My name is Salma, 27 years old and currently work as a credentialed School Psychologist. In my free time, I open my availability to new or returning families for sittings in the evening time (preferably on the weekend or Fridays). A little about me and my experience working with children and families. Simply put— it has always been something I was naturally good at and truly enjoyed doing! I have an extensive background experience working with kids of all ages (infants-high school) and I aim to integrate these experiences to explore what works best for everyone I work with. Spending time, caring for and being a role model for children is truly one of the biggest and most important jobs anyone can take on! Overall, it has taught me how to be patient, loving, fun and an out-going individual. Thank you for your consideration!

Very professional with an amazing vibe. Reliable, easy to work with, and SF local is a bonus. Highly recommend.

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 28 families in South San Francisco, CA

Hi! My name is Makayla, I was born and raised in San Francisco. I’m 25 years old and started watching my cousins, from infants to teenagers, when I was around 12 years old. I started sitting at 16 and throughout the years I’ve cared for children ranging from 4 months through 11+ years old. Playing with and watching children has always come naturally to me. I enjoy doing activities that they are interested in and always make sure they're enjoying our time together :) In addition, I have experience with children with special needs and have had training with ABA on working with children with moderate autism. References outside of urban sitter are available that you are more than welcome to speak with. I am a public health educator and doula. I played sports all my life and love to interact with kids through physical activities. I also enjoy arts and crafts and fun science experiments! As for pets, I’ve had family dogs all my life and taken care of dogs and cats. Two pets is the most I’ve sitted at one time.

Makayla was great! Communicative, prompt, easily started playing with our 11-month-old, kept us posted with appropriate updates, and made us feel very comfortable knowing our daughter was in good hands. We're very grateful for her help.

I grew up with 3 sisters and 2 brothers and we had dogs and cats. I played sports and first babysat at the age of 13. I love the beach and body surfing, I love to sing to the little ones and teach them songs, I like to have fun reading books, eating food, playing with just about anything (just a glass of ice water is entertainment for 30 minutes with a 15 month old-- yes, ice.. first it's solid and then magic-it disappears). I love to problem solve... or use the tool of distraction. And I do believe that "to every task that must be done there is an element of fun". I work part-time at the Ferry Building Book Passage and have been there for two and a half years, it's a great environment and I enjoy working with the public. There a lot of kids who come in on the weekends and I have fun getting to know them and what they like to read. I have been taking care of a year and a half boy for spurts this past year and it's been so much fun. We would go to the Main Library storytime for an outting and it was a real treasure. It is such a pleasure to work with kids, as they are so much in to the moment.

Thank you so much for your help! Would definitely recommend Lorraine, she was wonderful.
