Hello! I enjoy being around children and would love to help your family out for the day. I have been babysitting since high school and have been using Urbansitter for six years now. Other involvement working with children includes Bible School, church nursery, 4-H, multiple costume character positions, and a karaoke host for children at an amusement park. I have a college education and am a hard worker. I take pride in my promptness as well as my patience when dealing with tantrums. My approach when babysitting is to try and engage children in games or reading, instead of electronics. I also like to do arts and crafts projects as a form of interaction. I would like to be a role model for your child. I don't drink or do drugs and I'm not into the party scene, so you don't have to worry about your child being exposed to any poor behavior. For those of you that feel comfortable, I have memberships for Descanso Gardens and Huntington Gardens and can take your child for free. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have worked in a school setting for 9 years now working as a teacher assistant, a behavior therapist one on one for children with Autism, and providing services in home settings in addition to school settings. I also babysat for over a year full time while going to university. I graduated with my bachelors in psychology and my masters in counseling/clinical counseling.
