Hello I’m Zoie!! I really started working with kids when I was 14 years old. In my hometown, Clovis, CA, I was tutoring a couple kids, around age 10, with math and reading. When I was 16 I started a consistent nanny position with an 8 month old and a two year old. I would get there at 7am and get them up, dressed, and ready for the day. Throughout the day I was responsible for all meals and naps. When the kids were sleeping I’d do dishes for the family or tidy up common spaces. There was also a 5 year old that would join us when he didn’t have other activities scheduled. At this time I was also doing occasional babysitting jobs with kids from ages 3-9. I’ve enjoyed taking kids to the park for a change of scenery, or finding new ways to explore at home. I have always been theatrical which tends to be received well with kids and is a lot of fun for us both! I enjoy coloring and reading and all kinds of pretend play. I love having the kids involved with meal prep whenever possible, even if it’s just watching me and asking questions! One of my strongest qualities is patience, I have no problem answering a “why?” or “what is that?” 100 times a day! I see every moment as an opportunity to teach kids how to navigate the world with kindness and respect. I’m very excited to get involved with child care again here in LA!
I have a lot of valuable experience, both with raising 3 children, teaching preschool, babysitting, and helping my 104 year old grandma with technology!
“Michelle (or Mimi as my toddler calls her) is the best. She’s been watching my very active son once a week for over a year, and I cannot emphasize how helpful she is. She’s patient, she focuses all of her attention on him and she makes playing fun. My son is absolutely exhausted after Michelle’s visits. He wakes up some mornings asking to “play date with Mimi” or will sing songs that she has taught him. Now that I have an infant too, she watches both boys with ease. Caretaking is her speciality. She’s very gentle and kind. Michelle is punctual, respectful and dependable. Whenever she comes over, I know I don’t have to worry about anything, she’s got in under control. I can go to work or run errands without hesitation.”
Hihii! I’m Sabrina, I graduated from UCLA and now work full-time at the university. I’ve always been someone who takes initiative and works hard, which definitely shows in the way I care for kids. I helped raise my younger brother and have been a big part of my 7 year old nephew’s life since he was born. Coming from a big family, I’ve always had a caregiving role. I have five siblings, so I know how to manage different needs and personalities at once. I also know how to cook and would often prepare meals for everyone, which taught me how to stay organized and patient, especially during busy moments. While I was in college, I worked as a tutor and also spent time as a teacher assistant in a sixth-grade classroom, helping students with both schoolwork and classroom routines. I’m always happy to help with homework or create learning moments during play. Outside of work, I love being outdoors, going on walks, and spending time in green spaces. I’m also a big fan of cafes, matcha, cute characters (sanrio & rilakkuma), and exploring new spots around the city. I bring that same calm and creative energy when babysitting, and I always try to keep kids engaged with fun activities and time outside. I’m dependable, caring, and genuinely love spending time with kids. If you’re looking for someone who’s thoughtful, hands-on, and experienced, I’d love to help out.
“Sabrina has been such a huge part of our lives. She’s been watching my son since he was 4 and now he’s 9 and he still gets so excited whenever he finds out she’s coming over. That alone says so much about the kind of person she is. They spend their time dancing, drawing, playing games, laughing, and she always makes sure he’s fed and happy. She treats him with so much love, patience and care. It gives me so much peace of mind whenever I’m away. She also handles bedtime and morning routines like a pro and keeps me updated if anything comes up. As a mom there’s nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is safe, loved, and happy. We absolutely adore her and I can’t recommend her enough!”
Hello! My name is Marina, I am a fresh college graduate looking to help out families in my area. I played high level volleyball my whole life and was able to coach young kids throughout that time. I have a lot of experience in house/pet sitting and am known to be a very trustworthy and responsible employee!
Hi! I’m a developmental therapist with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth, confidence, and emotional well-being. I currently work with children ages 3–10 while pursuing my Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development, with a concentration in Youth Work and Out-of-School Time. I’ve spent over six years working with children in a variety of settings, including schools, preschools, camps, and families’ homes. I’ve worked in special education with LAUSD, taught preschool in both San Francisco and Portland, and spent four years as a camp counselor with Camp Galileo. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with children of different ages, personalities, and needs, and have taught me how important it is to meet each child where they are. I also have several years of nannying experience and have worked with around seven different families. I’ve helped with everything from weekly childcare and school pickups to overnight trips, meal preparation, bedtime routines, arts and crafts, homework, and keeping children engaged throughout the day. I really enjoy creating a balance between structure and fun—whether that means getting creative with an activity, heading outside to play, helping with homework, or simply being a caring and dependable presence for a child. Outside of my professional work, I’ve always been passionate about giving back to children and families. I’ve volunteered with organizations such as Safe & Sound, where I provided peer counseling and support, and Reading Partners, where I tutored elementary school children who were working to improve their reading skills. I would describe myself as warm, patient, responsible, and easygoing. I truly enjoy getting to know each child as an individual and creating a relationship where they feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your family and see how I can be a helpful part of your child’s life!
“Janie was an excellent sitter for our two young children (4 and 6). She is warm and calm, listens carefully and responds thoughtfully to our children. She provides constructive guidance to them, helps them stay organized, encourages them to use words to talk out their disputes, and makes them feel safe. She was always on time, and proactive in planning. She helped with school pick-up and prepped dinner and fed our children on some evenings. I would definitely hire Janie again, and recommend her highly for your family.”
