Hello there, I'm Elis! I am a caregiver specialized in early childhood development. I've been working with kids all ages for over 8 years now. In Brazil, where I’m from, I’ve worked as a teacher and manager of an English school for two years and a half, before moving to US, in this past experience, I've had the chance to learn about pedagogy, early childhood learning and educational activities with focus on learning while having fun. I have taken neuroscience courses mostly as a hobby, but I’m very passionate about mental health, and having in mind the importance of a healthy childhood, I do my best to always lead with kindness and empathy, while dealing with kids. Hi there! I am 24 years old, and recently moved from NYC to LA to work at UCLA. I am a Staff Research Associate at a developmental neuroscience lab working on an important childhood development study. A huge part of my job involves working with infants, from newborn to 2 years old. I am looking for some babysitting jobs to fill my free time, and would love to help out your family! During my undergraduate years at Barnard College, | studied psychology, with a focus in childhood development. I worked in the Barnard Center for Toddler Development as a teacher for 12 2-year-olds. I have an extensive background in developmental psychology coursework, including Infant Development and Atypical Development. During the summers, I work as a head counselor and program coordinator at a sleep away camp for ages 8-17. I love cooking, and planning activities for children to do after school.

I am 63 years old, semi retired and live in the Ocean Park area of Santa Monica. I am married and raised two boys who are now adults, One Attorney and One Doctor. I love children and I have time available to me. I thought I could earn extra money by babysitting - Child Care etc. I have a nice car, I do not mind driving your child to appointments and I even prefer watching your child at my apartment so you can relax and do what you need to do at your residence. As a child, some of my fondest memories were with a fun and caring babysitter. I want to provide this similar positive experience for the next generation! Having fun is always a priority, and safety is always number one in my book. I recently obtained my bachelor's in psychology at UCSB with a focus in child development and neurodiversity, and am excited to begin my master's in social welfare at UCLA in fall 2026. I am passionate about positive youth development, and in my recent professional roles, I have provided ABA support to neurodiverse kids ages 3-16, infant development therapy for kids ages 0-3, and served as a case manager at a 24hr youth shelter for 12-17 year olds. Personally, I am an easily excited individual who enjoys the outdoors, animals, the beach, and learning new things!
