Hi there! I’m Naomi, I recently graduated from SFSU with a bachelor’s in communications! I also work with a local nonprofit that provides after-school child care. I get to teach and supervise a group of awesome first graders every day, and it’s truly the highlight of my week. I love working with kids and always strive to bring a mix of fun, creativity, and care into everything we do — whether it’s arts and crafts, nature walks, or fun kitchen experiments. I’m also a big-time dog lover, so I’m more than happy to help out with pet sitting too! Can’t wait to meet your little ones (and furry friends)!
“Naomi filled in for another babysitter last minute and the kids loved her! ”
I started my studies at Olivet Nazarene University an hour south of Chicago, where I grew up but I am currently finishing my degree in Child Development Psychology while pursuing art in LA! As the oldest of 6 children I grew up playing a mom role for my younger siblings so I have spent my whole life taking care of children! While taking classes I had the opportunity to babysit and nanny so many beautiful children from newborns to preteens and also help families that had extra mental health needs as well. I am more than able to energetically keep up with children and show endless compassion and patience. I play guitar, sing and paint and would love to teach and help your children with their artistic talents!
“On time, reliable and friendly. Our kids enjoy her art activities and playful nature. ”
Hi! I'm Kate, and I can help with a lot of things! In my work as a caregiver, educator, and developmental interventionist, I am deeply committed to helping children understand that they matter. In 2018 I earned a master’s degree in School Counseling which gave me in-depth training in child development, social-emotional learning, and behavioral support. After working for years in public schools in various advising/interventionist roles, I decided to apply my knowledge and skills in more flexible, hands-on settings — working directly with children and families in their homes. I encourage curiosity, creativity, and fun in my work with kids. My classroom experience has given me a lot of tools such as ways to make routines fun, communicating rules and expectations, using positive reinforcement, and tons of arts and crafts ideas. Through patient guidance and empathy, I help children build their communication skills and practice emotional regulation so they can thrive socially and academically. Each child is unique, and each one deserves to feel confident in their ability to learn and grow in their own way- I can help them with that! My ultimate goal is to be a positive and empathetic presence in your home. How can I help?
“Kate is very creative and patient. Our girls love her!”
Hello, my name is Roksanda. I’m a responsible, reliable, and flexible nanny with years of childcare experience. I’m currently working as a substitute teacher for LAUSD. I have First Aid and CPR certifications. I’m a non-smoker and have a clean driving record. I enjoy working with children, and am committed to promoting children’s physical, mental, and emotional development in collaboration with parents. I believe I’m a great fit for caring for your child as I am patient, caring, and compassionate. Thank you
“Roksanda was fantastic with our two kids. They enjoyed engaging in activities with her. She was on time and communicative and went above and beyond, washing dishes and folding laundry when she wasn't asked to.”
Hi there! I am 24 years old, and recently moved from NYC to LA to work at UCLA. I am a Staff Research Associate at a developmental neuroscience lab working on an important childhood development study. A huge part of my job involves working with infants, from newborn to 2 years old. I am looking for some babysitting jobs to fill my free time, and would love to help out your family! During my undergraduate years at Barnard College, | studied psychology, with a focus in childhood development. I worked in the Barnard Center for Toddler Development as a teacher for 12 2-year-olds. I have an extensive background in developmental psychology coursework, including Infant Development and Atypical Development. During the summers, I work as a head counselor and program coordinator at a sleep away camp for ages 8-17. I love cooking, and planning activities for children to do after school.
“Amazing! Punctual and communicative throughout the day. My daughter loves her and can’t wait for their next hang out. Highly recommend.”

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
