Hi, my name is Chessie! I hold a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Sonoma State University and currently work full-time as a Pre-K teacher at a wonderful preschool in Marin. I’m looking for part-time and occasional babysitting opportunities to earn a little extra as I prepare for my wedding this March. Born and raised in Petaluma, I developed my passion for early childhood education at a young age. I began babysitting for friends and neighbors as a young teen and started working as a summer camp counselor at 14. While in college, I worked in an after-school program supporting children in grades K–5. For the past six years, I’ve been a dedicated Pre-K teacher, gaining extensive hands-on experience supporting children’s growth, learning, and social-emotional development. I’m a full-time college student completing my undergraduate degree for law school and a full-time daycare teacher with over 8 years of experience working with children through daycare, babysitting, volunteer work, and children’s ministry. For the past two years, I’ve worked at the YMCA, where I’ve received certifications in youth development, behavior management, safety, and CPR.
