Hi, there! My name is Katherine and, as the oldest of five girls, I have been babysitting for as long as I can remember. My first experience with babysitting was for my mom—I would watch my little sisters while she ran errands. As I got older, I started babysitting for some of the families in my neighborhood and continued until I went away to college. In college, I nannied for a couple of different families. One of these families had seven children, ranging in age from 3 to 18. While I mostly spent time with the two little ones, I also chauffeured four of the older children around to their sports practices and various extracurricular activities. In addition to nannying, I also taught an after-school cooking and nutrition program to elementary school age children as part of an internship in college. After college, I moved to Spain to teach English and also tutored for several families on the side. A little about me—I just moved to Denver from Washington, D.C. last July and I am absolutely loving everything about living here. During the week, I work as an attorney in downtown Denver, but I try to spend every weekend in the mountains. I got engaged this past July and I am planning a Summer 2026 wedding here in Colorado. Hi! I’m a 4th Grade teacher in Denver Public Schools district on summer break. I’ve taught elementary grade levels (all subjects!) for 6 years. Throughout the years, I’ve taught 3rd grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. I am very familiar with the Literacy and Math standards progression from K-5 and the strategies/language students need to learn to reach their academic goals. In past summers, I have taught summer school, coordinated summer camps, and worked for the parks and rec department a coaching soccer and basketball. I believe that learning needs to be a great mix of hard work and fun! This summer, I decided to take the summer off and not commit to a full time position.
