As a driven educator with a Master's degree in Technical Communication and a Bachelor's in English Literature, I have over five years of tutoring experience specializing in creative writing, essay editing, and technical writing. Beyond tutoring, I have a diverse background in working with children and young learners: I spent several years as a part‑time ice skating instructor, served as a camp counselor at Camp Allen for two summers, worked at a church during Vacation Bible School and provided babysitting care for three families throughout high school. These experiences strengthened my ability to connect with students of different ages and cultures, foster patience and create supportive environments. My teaching philosophy centers on cultivating a collaborative and encouraging space where students feel empowered to express their ideas and improve their writing skills. I strive to connect with each learner by understanding their unique perspectives and goals, guiding them toward both academic success and personal growth. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy writing fiction and following current events. I am dedicated to helping students not only excel academically but also discover and refine their own voice through writing.

Mom to 2 amazing kids in elementary school. Three years of experience as an au-pair and nanny before becoming a parent. Experience volunteering in elementary school and preschool as a teacher aide. I love being in nature, playing with kids outdoors, dancing to silly songs, reading, baking, and making art. I practice positive and peaceful parenting, focusing the connection between child and their caregiver. Serving children and families is my passion. As an immigrant and a mother who started raising her children without "the village", I'm deeply in touch with the unmet needs of families with young children in the US. I am passionate about supporting families with what they need to thrive and succeed- childcare, social-emotional supports for parents, and engaging the family with the community. I’m pursuing a graduate certificate in maternal and child health and planning a career change from research in public policy to child therapist.
Nurturing young minds and fostering a positive impact on children's lives drives my passion for childcare. With more than 7 years of experience, I offer a calm, patient, and professional approach to supporting families with children aged newborn to five, but also willing to work with older kids. As a Certified Teacher, I bring educational expertise to our daily activities, whether we are playing board games, solving puzzles, or engaging in outdoor physical play. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules to ensure consistency and structure. I am happy to assist with cooking and meal preparation for the kid. I prioritize clear communication, providing updates via your preferred method. My goal is to provide a safe, enriching environment where your child can thrive. I look forward to meeting your family and becoming a trusted partner in your child's growth.
I've been working with children since I was 16, I'm 19 years old. At 16 I did small babysitting jobs and after school was a regular nanny to 2 kids, (3 and 4). I worked at a local daycare when I was 17 to 18. I helped looked after 11-16 children daily from the ages of newborns to 9 year olds. Now I'm an assistant teacher at a learning center/daycare, I take care of infants(newborn to 1 year olds) to 4 year olds. Usually assist take care of 16-23 two year olds, 6-13 three year olds and 9-15 four year olds daily. Children love me and I love them! I'm patient, love interacting and playing with children. I'm a clean person (will do light cleaning), I can food prep, make bottles, change diapers, assist with feeding etc. Can help with small learning skills, managing behavior and potty training. Good with nighttime routines and can read bedtime stories. I also have CPR, first aid and AED certifications.
