Hello I’m Ashley; a 5th grade teacher offering child care, tutoring,and household services while public school is closed for the summer ☀️ I’ve been a babysitter since I was 15 years old. I’ve babysat children as young as 8 months to 12 yrs old. While in college, I worked at a daycare serving children as young as 1 yr to 3 1/2 years old. I helped students develop motor skills, social skills, practice sight words, and did lots of arts & crafts! After graduating with my degree in elementary education I started teaching in Arlington, VA public schools. I specialize in elementary English language arts, science, math, and history. I have a drivers license, vehicle, and willing to drop off and pick up kids to and from school/camp. I also offer cleaning services, please have cleaning supplies available.

Growing up in a large family meant that I always was intimately acquainted with just how intense and rewarding it can be to raise children. Even though it can be chaotic at times, seeing the world through new eyes is exciting. As such, for all of high school, I babysat children from the ages of 3-10, taking them to after-school lessons, making dinners and spending time going on adventures! In addition, I also tutored in a local elementary school, assisting technology classes and helping students with beginner coding and typing skills. As a university student currently, I have continued to tutor in math and reading comprehension for students aged from 5-17.

Hi! My name is Maylani, and I am entering my junior year of college studying Public Health Science. I’m looking for a seasonal summer babysitting position and would love to support a family that needs help during the week and/or weekends. I have experience babysitting for families in my neighborhood after completing Safe Sitter training, and I have also worked as a gymnastics coach for school-age children since the summer of 2023, a role I continue to hold today. Coaching has helped me develop patience, creativity, leadership, and strong communication skills with children of all ages. A little more about me: I hope to become a podiatrist in the future, and as a pre-med student, I have been consistently shadowing at a pediatric urgent care clinic since June 2025, which has given me additional hands-on exposure to working with children in a clinical setting. I also had the opportunity to shadow at a pediatric hospital in Athens, Greece. In addition, I love science, work as a college biology tutor during the school year, and will be doing biology research this summer.
