$18 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Chicago, IL

Since September of 2022, I have worked as a Preschool assistant for ages 5 and below, feeding the kids, playing with them, changing diapers, and helping with nap time. I have experience with setting up routine for kids, and I have dealt with a variety of behaviors in the classrooms I have been in. I would be happy to provide a message of recommendation from coworkers and supervisors. I also have had general baby sitting experience my whole life for ages 12 and under. I recently completed my Bachelors degree in a liberal arts major, and this past summer I took a child development course though City Colleges of Chicago. I also have been working through various Illinois Gateways online trainings regarding early childhood education. As for pets, I have owned nearly a total of 20 cats through my lifetime and have plenty of experience with caring for them. I also have had experience house sitting for my father and taking care of his two dogs. As for other animals, if I have instructions for care there is no limit to the animals I could care for. I love caretaking because it is so special to me to get to know someone so little and learn the best ways to connect with them and take care of them. Every child deserves care and attention, and I would like to help out parents so that they know their child is with someone who will be taking the best possible care of them.

Lisa was on time, very friendly, and connected with the kids right away. Great sitter!

Brianda Maywood
$20 per hour for 1 child

Hi families! I’m a bilingual, Spanish-speaking individual with over six years of experience in the healthcare field, specifically in chiropractic care, and I have a strong passion for working with children. I hold an Associate’s degree in Science and am currently pursuing further education. Although I haven’t worked as a professional caregiver, I’ve had the joy of caring for children in my family and among friends, ranging from ages 1 to 7, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. I’m detail-oriented, reliable, and always eager to help others. My faith is a cornerstone of my life, and I’m actively involved in my church’s youth group. In my free time, I enjoy reading, going on walks, exploring new coffee shops, and experimenting with cooking and baking. I love trying new things and creating meaningful, positive connections with those I care for.

Beth 1 review
Chicago
$18 per hour for 1 child

Hi... My name is Beth and I have lived in Chicago for over 30 years. I graduated from Columbia College and my professional career centered around Marketing and Advertising. I worked for 2 years as an After School Nanny, picking up from Lincoln Park and driving home to Evanston, then staying with the amazing young person until the parents finished work. The Family then arranged for a Live-In Au Pair, but we keep in touch and they are an excellent reference. That family gave my information to a neighbor and I have been working with them for the past Three Years, driving 2 children home from school. They travel overseas during the Summer and will be leaving the country after Memorial Day. Next school year their children will attend a school much closer to home so I am seeking a new opportunity to work with a new Family. I have my own reliable SUV and a clean driving (and No criminal) record. I get along great with kids and they seem to like me too. I will prioritize your rules, follow your preferred snack and meal choices and mix homework or chores with encouragement and fun. Aside from many years of "Babysitting", I was a Certified Lifeguard, a Summer Camp Counselor and an Arts & Crafts Teacher at Sunday School. I also am a Trained Driver, having worked as a Chauffeur for almost 2 years. I'm a musician and like singing - music is a wonderful language. I'm also a Dog Mama and have no problem with dogs, feeding and walking. Ask me about Weekends and Special Events.

We were so lucky to have Beth work for us for almost two years as our after-school care giver. She picked our child up from school, drove them the 30+ minutes home, and kept our child entertained. She also took them to some local after school activities. Beth is really warm and fun. Our kiddo loved her and she will now always be part of our village! She was very reliable and communicative. She was able to speak directly with us regarding issues that came up, but things were mostly smooth. She brings a lot of heart to her work and any family would be lucky to work with her!

$18 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Chicago, IL

With over a decade of professional experience in child care; lifeguard, swim instructor, children's birthday entertainer, substitute teacher, and daycare worker/pre-k teacher, I have just about every child imaginable. I've also been babysitting since I was 12, for my parents, cousins, friends, and the occasional co-worker who needed a night off. I've seen all ages, 6m-17y. I like to think I connect with children so well because I truly am just a big kid at heart. But I also know when play time is over and to be firm, but fair. I have training in basic first aid, CPR, basic diabetic care, certified in anaphylactic safety, certified in allergy safety, certified in food handling and safety.

Hailey is great! She checked in beforehand for any specific directions and showed up at our home a little early, ready to engage with the kids. She is kind and personable, the kids really enjoyed her being here, and we will see her again!
