Hello! My name is Kara, and I would be honored to support you and your family during this special time. I bring over 20 years of experience working with children, and my passion for caregiving began early watching my mother run a daycare from our home as a teenager. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with children of all ages in a variety of settings, including private homes, daycare centers, public schools, and an emergency youth shelter a role I found especially meaningful. I have spent over 15 years as a dedicated nanny (no longer working full-time in that role) and have since specialized as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) for the past 8 years and a Birth and Postpartum Doula for the past 5 years. Whether you need gentle, experienced overnight newborn care or doula support through birth and postpartum recovery, I’m here to help. I also offer occasional babysitting, depending on my availability. Please note: Rates vary depending on the type of care provided. Newborn Care Specialist and Doula services start at $45/hour. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your growing family!

Amazing caregiver, would trust Kara with my kids without blinking an eye. Will work with her again!

Hi, I'm Chloe! I'm an experienced nanny and babysitter, and I've been working with kids since I was one myself! I started babysitting when I was 11, and basically haven't stopped since then. I've been a nanny, worked in a day care, been a mother's helper, a tutor, and provided almost every other child care service. I'm new to Chicago, but was working in Denver for the last 12 years. Babies and toddlers are my absolute favorite, but I love kids of all ages. I have experience with kids as young as one week and as old as 16 years, and have worked with siblings and groups of up to 26 kids! I have a gift for dissolving sibling conflict and dealing with tears and tantrums. I am affectionate, reliable, creative, and flexible. I am a student at SAIC looking for work around my class schedule, with a long career behind me already, and can't wait to care for your kids!

Hello Beautiful Families! I am Micquel (my-KELL) and I am a Chicago native and current Master of Business Administration candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago completing my studies this fall. I also hold a Master of Public Health degree from the division of Community Health Sciences with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health. I am a former Clinical Research and Improvement Coordinator at Lurie Children’s Hospital! I have since pivoted to a role as Quality and Safety Specialist of Emergency Services at UI Health. I have always enjoyed caring for children because of their pure innocence and appreciation for life! They are always able to turn my bad days around. Since I became old enough to babysit, I have been the go-to sitter among family and friends. During my undergraduate studies, I volunteered at the local hospital in the NICU, Pediatric unit, and daycare (for 1 full year!). As volunteer chair of my pre-health honor society, I coordinated volunteers to tutor/engage with refugee children and assist staff at the local Crisis Nursery. While completing my unpaid internship for my degree program, I babysat and tutored a 9 year old boy with ADHD and on the Autism spectrum for 4 months until the grandmother of the child was able to care for him again. I have worked as a mentor and supervisor for disadvantaged youth hired by our Mayor's youth work program to beautify our city streets. This was my first full-time experience with adolescents and though they were old enough to 'babysit' themselves, I learned many techniques for grabbing and keeping their attention and asserting my authority without losing my usually calm and happy disposition. I look forward to meeting some of you and hopefully lending a helping hand to your families! :) Note: I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Miquel was excellent! Would definitely hire again!

I am a first grade teacher who has been teaching for 14 years. I live in Bridgeport but I babysit all over the city. I have a car so I can provide my own transportation. Families of the children that I babysit for have praised me for being fun, firm, and fair. I truly love kids and can’t wait to meet your family!

We used Lisa for the first time and she easily connected with our kids and had no issues. Our daughter was asking where Lisa was the next morning and said she had a great time with her!

Hi, I'm Cece (short for Mareecia)! I'm a babysitter, nanny, and tutor with over 8 years of experience, combining structured learning with warmth and creativity. I'm open to all ages, though I'm most comfortable and experienced with children ages 2-10. My experience spans from summer camp counseling (ages 1-10) to remote tutoring in reading, writing, and study skills (ages 6-12). I offer more than just childcare: I'm a tutor + nanny in one, providing homework help, engaging activities, and a calm, positive routine to support your child's growth. Beyond caregiving, I bring a high level of professionalism and reliability from my corporate background at JPMorgan and Accenture. I'm also a writer, creator, and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking and snowboarding. Currently, I'm learning Spanish, Italian, and French. Top Skills: Structured Routines: Skilled at creating calm, predictable schedules. Positive Engagement: Using redirection and enthusiasm to create a great environment. Academic Support: Expert in reading/writing for ages 6-12. I'm passionate about making a difference in children's lives and would love to connect with your family!

CeCe is on it! She arrived ready to play with the girls (6 and 3). She asked for emergency contact info and then took the girls to the park as my husband and I made our way out. The girls had a fun night with her. There were no issues with the bedtime routine. They want her back for sure!
