Hello, I am currently in college and pursuing a degree in teaching. I absolutely love working with kids and have had lots of experience. I am currently a volunteer working in my churches kindergarten classroom and I have also worked with ages 0-12 at my church. I also dog/pet sit. I enjoy playing and planning activities to do with the children. Going for walks, doing chalk, and playing games are just a few things I enjoy. I have also worked at a summer camp at a park district last summer. I am willing to cook, clean, do laundry and run errands.

Hi there, I'm Amy! I am a licensed educator and lover of the outdoors. I'm licensed to teach English Language Arts grades 5-12, but have spent the last school year subbing in classrooms ranging from Pre-K-12th grade. I've nannied and babysat for families in the past with kids of all ages and abilities. My duties as a nanny included transportation to and from school and appointments, snack and meal prep, light house cleaning, arts and crafts, fun outings, dog and cat care, homework help, and nighttime routines. Working in schools every day means learning all kinds of ways to get kids thinking and engaged in meaningful ways. During college I worked for two years in a senior living community with seniors ranging in age (55-100+) and varying ability levels. My duties ranged from nutrition and meal monitoring to caretaking and quality time. I also have 5+ years experience house sitting. I've taken care of landscaping, cleaning, and mail/package pick-up as well as pet and plant care.

With over a decade of professional experience in child care; lifeguard, swim instructor, children's birthday entertainer, substitute teacher, and daycare worker/pre-k teacher, I have just about every child imaginable. I've also been babysitting since I was 12, for my parents, cousins, friends, and the occasional co-worker who needed a night off. I've seen all ages, 6m-17y. I like to think I connect with children so well because I truly am just a big kid at heart. But I also know when play time is over and to be firm, but fair. I have training in basic first aid, CPR, basic diabetic care, certified in anaphylactic safety, certified in allergy safety, certified in food handling and safety.

I'm and experience seater, I have three older kids on my own. I worked as a teacher assistant in an elementary school for 5 yrs and I'm currently working at a High school. I love working with kids of any age.

I love helping families in the neighborhood, and I'm great with homework help, meal prep, keeping the place clean, staying patient, and keep the house safe and quiet so that children can sleep while you're away.
