Prior, I received my BA from Tulane University in New Orleans. I have worked for 3 years full time in Special Education at various age levels! I love the wonder that kids bring to the world and love creating exciting experiences for them! I love being able to be creative as a babysitter and come up with fun activities to do. I am happy to play, bake, do arts & crafts, etc. I do have reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and available references. I am infant and child CPR/first aid certified as well as COVID vaccinated. I am completely comfortable with pets! I have vast experiences with children ages newborn-13yrs. I was first certified as a babysitter at 12 and have been working with kids ever since! I was a babysitter/nanny all throughout middle and high school, coached kids sports as a teenager, and spent the past year working in an elementary school environment! I spent 2 years working at a nonprofit that focused on arts education for ages 4-13 in New Orleans during college before spending 2 years in K-12 Special Education. I now work full time at a community college running their Special Education Transition program. Hi! I am a current MBA student at Northwestern Kellogg looking to make some extra money while in school. I'm originally from California and, prior to Kellogg, was working as a clinical researcher at Stanford for over 8 years running clinical trials for Type 1 diabetes technology. My working role involves working with children of all ages (as young as 3 and up) in a healthcare setting, requiring 24/7 oversight for safety. Much of the research I do involve multi-day studies to oversee how new medical devices perform; I’m essentially serving as a babysitter and creating/overseeing activities to do (it’s hard to explain, but I’m more than happy to do so if you’d like more details about what this means!). I have my BS in human development from UC Davis. Aside from my current role, I have multiple years of experience working with children during college in classroom settings, through various baby sitting gigs, and even teaching piano. I love puzzles, baking, playing with my pup (and generally all dogs), and being outside and active as much as possible! I most recently spent a quarter abroad in Australia and was fortunate enough to complete a few multi day backpacking trips around Australia and New Zealand I love being creative and am happy to do arts and crafts and supervised baking projects with your child! I have been CPR/First Aid trained and certified multiple times in the past (including toddler/infant) for my job, though that has since expired. That said, I am confident in my abilities to address emergency situations from my past trainings.
