I am from the west side of Chicago and I have been taking care of children since I was a young teenager. I have worked with a company for a little over 2 years, working with kids who attend school. I can help with chores around the household, homework, or any other tasks that will create a comfortable space. I own a dog and know why or how a task involving a dog will be handled. If I have questions I communicate well with the guardians and able to figure out the situation.
“Very good and patient ”
Hi Family, I’m Jasmyne a Chicago native and the proud second-oldest of six siblings — so you could say childcare has always been a big part of my life! I also have two adorable nephews I help care for regularly, which keeps my hands (and heart) full. In addition to years of hands-on family experience, I’ve also worked at a daycare, where I cared for children of different ages and helped plan fun, educational activities. On Sundays, I teach kids’ Bible studies at my church, which has deepened my patience, creativity, and love for helping children learn and grow. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we share a strong sense of family and community. I bring that same dependable, loving energy to every family I work with. Whether it’s playing outside, helping with homework, or creating crafts, I strive to make every child feel safe, valued, and happy. I’d love to meet you and your little ones!
“Jasmyne and I used to be coworkers and next-door neighbors. She watched my son from time to time, and he absolutely loved having her as a babysitter. He always said she was fun—and she never forgot the snacks! I would confidently recommend Jasmyne to anyone in need of a babysitter; she truly cares for children as if they were her own.”
Hello! My name is Jeanette. I moved to Chicago in 2021 to pursue my MA in Sound Arts and Industries at Northwestern University. I currently work as a freelance audio engineer and teaching artist in the local film and arts community, and I’m looking for part-time or occasional childcare opportunities between projects. Before moving to Chicago, I worked as an early childhood educator in New Mexico public schools and summer programs. I earned my BA from the University of New Mexico with an interdisciplinary focus in Early Childhood & Multicultural Education, Music Studies/Performance, and Communication. I have years of experience working with children from early childhood through teens as a teacher, nanny, and sitter. I love caregiving because it’s rewarding to support kids as they explore, learn, and grow while creating a safe, creative, and encouraging environment. I enjoy engaging kids through reading stories, singing songs and nursery rhymes, music, crafts, imaginative play, outdoor exploration, and sensory activities. I like following children’s interests and encouraging curiosity while also supporting routines and helping kids tidy up after activities. When screen time is allowed, I prefer guided movement breaks or short educational programs (like Danny Go, Ms. Rachel, or Kids TV 123), but I usually try to keep kids engaged with hands-on activities instead. I’m bilingual (fluent in Spanish), play a variety of string instruments, and am currently working toward my Deep Listening certification. I previously worked with a community organization in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood co-teaching expressive arts classes for children and families, and volunteered with ALAS as a violin instructor for a mariachi youth group. While living in Santa Fe, I also led an outdoor summer arts adventure program organizing nature-based art projects, movement games, and creative activities both outdoors and indoors. More recently, I’ve spent lots of time helping care for my two nieces (now ages 2 and 5), which keeps my toddler and early childhood play skills active. I’m trained in first aid and infant/toddler CPR and am happy to help with light household tasks during naps. I’m also happy to provide references or my resume upon request. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio, I hope to connect with your family soon!
“Jeanette did a wonderful job and had a delightful connection with our children.”
Hi! I’m Michelle, a nursing student currently completing my prerequisites with the goal of becoming a registered nurse. My background in healthcare and education has given me a strong foundation in safety, responsibility, and caring for others. I’m also CNA-trained and certified in CPR/BLS. I have several years of experience working with children of different ages. I previously worked as a support teacher with first-grade students, including children with neurodivergent needs, and as a camp counselor with young children. I also have experience caring for toddlers and creating age-appropriate activities such as crafts, baking, games, and outdoor play. I’m comfortable following routines, preparing simple meals, helping with bedtime, and keeping children engaged in a safe and positive environment. I love caregiving because I enjoy being someone children can feel comfortable and safe around while also helping them learn, explore, and become more independent. I’m patient, attentive, and dependable, and I understand how important it is for parents to have someone they can trust. A little about me: I’m originally from Mexico and speak both English and Spanish. I recently moved to Chicago and love exploring the city, trying new foods, crocheting, baking, and spending time outdoors. I’m currently balancing school with childcare work, so I’m especially interested in part-time and recurring opportunities that fit around my class schedule.
Hello I am a college student located near Loyola University Chicago but I have my car as reliable transportation. I’d love to work for your family for a date night or a last minute need. I have 2 summers experience working with large groups of children (ranging between 3mo-12yrs) at Lifetime fitness’s Kids Academy. I also have 2 years experience doing occasional babysitting for families specifically through this app. I have my infant, child, and adult CPR certification along with my first aid certification. I am very creative, so I would love to create fun and engaging activities for your child(ren). Or to just go along with any plans or schedule you have.
