Hi there! My name is Jonny and I am an undergraduate student at Boston University studying psychology with interests in mental health research and child psychology. I live on campus in a beautiful brownstone apartment and I spend most of my time studying or with friends. I am offering child, senior, pet, and house care services. I have experience working with inner-city Boston kids (ages 8-12) at the Hale Outdoor Learning Adventures camp, where I learned how to connect with kids with all different kinds of temperaments and personalities. My responsibilities there ranged from helping kids with arts and crafts to conflict resolution when kids were having tough days with one another. I enjoy doing any activities that seem to best engage the kids, whether it be playing games, reading with them, or singing along to songs. I have also been a peer tutor at the high school and university levels, with competency across maths, sciences, english, and social sciences, with some basic french and spanish language skills. I have cooking and cleaning skills and spent time taking care of my grandparents in England. I come from a cat family, but I love all animals and pets!
Kids are fantastic to work with. They have fantastic imaginations and a beautiful enthusiasm for so many parts of life. I love having the chance to hear about their favorite cartoon, sing along to their favorite Disney songs, and see the amazing ideas they come up with. I'm happy to play with kids, but I also take it seriously when there are rules they need to follow. Eating healthy snacks. Brushing their teeth. Going to bed. Those rules may not be things kids always want to do, but don't worry. I'll follow your schedule to a T. After all, kids also need the structure (and clean teeth) that come with less-fun habits. I am also experienced and capable at providing support for seniors, pets, or with numerous household tasks. I follow schedules well, pay attention to my charge's needs, and keep an eye on all the important details in my work. For seniors that means listening and treating them with respect. For pets it's paying attention for any mischief while caring for them. And for household chores, I just take pride in making sure I leave my workplace properly cleaned and organized. Whatever it is you need, I'm glad to help!
Hi, I'm Rachel! I’m a warm, caring, and dependable person who genuinely loves taking care of people and animals and finds being of service deeply rewarding. Over the years, I’ve babysat for friends, family, and neighbors as needed, primarily caring for children ages 1–13. I also have two nephews who I’ve helped care for since they were born, including living with my sister and her family for months at a time to help with childcare and supporting them during extended visits. I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and creating an environment where they feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. As an artist and writer, I love encouraging creativity and imagination, whether we’re making something, playing games, telling stories, singing, dancing, getting outside, or finding other ways to be active and have fun. I prefer being actively engaged with the kids I’m caring for rather than relying on screens to keep them occupied, while also taking my cues from each child’s personality, interests, and energy. I also helped care for my grandmother for several years after she developed dementia. I assisted with meals, cleaning, personal hygiene, and everyday needs, but just as importantly, I spent time with her, kept her company, and helped her feel safe and comfortable. That experience taught me a great deal about patience, compassion, and preserving someone’s dignity while supporting them through a vulnerable stage of life. In recent years, I’ve also gained extensive experience caring for pets—particularly dogs—through pet sitting while traveling. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and maintaining their normal routines while their people are away. My personality is naturally warm, loving, optimistic, and encouraging. Emotional regulation is important to me, and I bring a calm, grounded presence to the people and animals in my care. I’m attentive to individual needs, respectful of healthy boundaries, and understand how important it is for families to have a caregiver they can trust to respect their routines, communicate openly, and care for their family with the same thoughtfulness they would want to provide themselves. I’m also happy to jump in wherever I’m needed, whether that means cooking, running errands, cleaning, laundry, organizing, or helping keep the household running smoothly. I love being someone others can depend on—someone who notices what needs doing, pitches in, and makes life a little easier!
Hi there! My name is Grace, and I specialize in infant care, though I truly enjoy working with children at every stage of development. I’m attentive to the unique needs of babies, children, and their families, and I prioritize building strong relationships through open, honest communication. I create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore and grow. I’m also happy to assist with errands, light meal prep, house-sitting, and caring for pets and plants. I take pride in being reliable, warm, and supportive, and I value becoming a trusted, consistent presence in a family’s daily routine. I’d love to connect and learn more about your family!
“I can’t recommend Grace enough! She was our nanny for my daughter and another child for 3 years. She kept the kids busy with walks, activities and outings by car or public transit. My daughter still talks about her days with Grace fondly! From infancy through toddlerhood, Grace was a joy to have in our home, cherished our kids as if they were her own, and truly enjoyed her time with them. Any family will be lucky to have Grace!”
Hello! My name is Sophia, I’m 22 years old, and currently attending UMass Boston. I’m a caring, patient, and reliable caregiver with hands-on experience in both childcare and dog care. I create a safe, nurturing, and well-organized environment, and I genuinely enjoy supporting children as they learn, play, and grow. I’ve gained valuable experience over the past few years, often assisting my mother in her work as a caregiver. In addition to childcare, I have a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and have several years of experience in dog sitting. I take pride in being attentive, responsible, and compassionate in every role I take on. I have many references I’m able to share with you as well! I’m also new to this app, I usually use care.com! But wanted to give this a try!
