I have worked in education for about 10+ years. I worked with students from K-12 as a substitute teacher, ESL teacher, math and science teacher. I love pets, specifically dogs. I continue looking for new opportunities to work with young people. It informs my approach to teaching and developing safe spaces for young people to thrive.

I am an Early Childhood Educator with over twenty years of experience caring for and educating young children. I hold a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education with a minor concentration in Infants and Toddlers, as well as a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently a classroom preschool teacher in Baltimore City. I have experience with infants and toddlers, including twins. In addition to teaching, I’ve also owned my own registered home day care, and nannied for multiple families. I believe children are competent and capable and learn best through play and hands on activities. I am a responsive caregiver with an extensive background in social emotional learning. I enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, crafts and reading in my spare time. I have two cats and feel comfortable with dogs and other small pets.

I am a college student majoring in Elementary education. My work experience includes daycare teacher for the past year and a half, specifically a MD state certified Toddler teacher. Prior to work, my experience has been babysitting my families and friends’ families children! A few traits about me is that I have grown up to love teaching, and working with children. I love music, bright colors, and turtles. My dream career has always been becoming a teacher. I have always enjoyed seeing the smiles from children when they’re having fun, or excited to learn. I will always make the environment safe so all children can feel welcomed and seen.

I am a nurse practitioner (current practice owner) who never had children of my own and have always wanted them. I have medical experience beginning at Children’s Hospital in DC on their behavioural psychiatry unit, my nursing internship was a Cambridge hospital on the pediatric behaviour program. After becoming an NP in 2005, I spent several summers as a camp nurse at the Barrie School in Silver Spring, MD. I have also worked with their 4 year olds for aftercare and substituted in the baby room when needed. My other experience includes being the lead NP at JHH on their Meyer 6 unit for 4 years and some time in the Anesthesia department. Working with children has been my most fulfilling work. My extensive care of children in various situations should make any parent feel confident in choosing me as a caregiver.
