I am a 25 year old woman who arrived to USA from Colombia two years ago. I have full time experience with two kids, one toddler and one 8 year old boy. In addition, I have occasionally taken care of babies and have worked in a school as a counselor. I love taking care of creative kids who like drawing, building, dancing, playing hide and seek or using their imagination to play. But I also enjoy going to the playground and having a good outdoor time. I like pets and do not have any type of allergies. I am a responsible caregiver, a good friend for the kids and I make sure to clean any mess that can exist as a result of our games. As a nanny, I make sure to communicate any questions and update the parents often to make sure they know everything is going well! In the same way, I appreciate clarity in the instructions parents can give me. Every child is different so I know I need time to get to know them and for them to get to know me. I recently moved to Highland Park and will be starting my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers (New Brunswick) this September. At the moment, I am only looking for occasional babysitting jobs. Before moving to NJ this summer, I lived in New York City for five years while completing my master’s degree at Columbia University and working in the field of youth mental health. My education in Clinical Psychology, along with my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Child Development from UC Davis, has given me a strong understanding of child development, behavior, and children’s needs. I have over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages in a variety of settings. I’ve had numerous part-time nanny and babysitting jobs with children ranging from newborns to 15 years old. I also worked as a camp counselor for many years and as a math and reading tutor. I’m happy to help with homework, tutoring, and even college applications. I am reliable, extremely empathetic, kind, and funny, and I easily connect with kids to create a fun and safe environment. My name is Dirian I am 18 years I do attend college full-time, my major is Biology Health Professions, and I do wish to become a doctor someday. I have two younger siblings and a few baby cousins and a cat and dog, I have babysat plenty of times, I also took care of my grandmother for some years while she took her chemotherapies, made sure she had everything she needed, and felt taken care of.
