My name is Larissa and I am 25 years old. I have over 7 years of professional experience working with children as a teacher and an au pair as well as many years of experience caring for family friends and my own siblings as I am the oldest of 6 children. I am originally from Brazil. I have my teaching degree in Brazil and worked there as a teacher prior to move to United States to be an au pair. As an au pair I worked for a family with 5 kids, ages 8 months - 15yo. When my 1 year contract ended as an au pair I’ve decided to keep working with what I love: children. My responsibilities as an in-home care provider have included overall care of the children, ensure the safety of the children while in my care, preparing meals, bottles, changing diapers, following routines and schedules, helping with homework, engaging the children in fun and educational activities, ensuring the children were meeting their developmental milestones, communicating with parents, tidying up after the children, staying with the children overnight while the parents traveled, and more! I also have experience caring for children with special needs including Autism, Down Syndrome and ADHD. I know it’s important to keep children healthy and safe by engaging them in activities that they are interested n while introducing them to new things they may find interest in. Good day! My name is Laura and I reside in Las Vegas along with my husband and 3 children (18, 19 and 21). We have lived in LV for years and have no issues if help is needed at the strip, downtown, Henderson etc. I am a Certified Surgical Technician and currently work PT. I’ve been CPR certified for years and am very comfortable with basic first aid. I am able to assist with child care, adult/senior care, transportation, and any errands that may be needed. I am also an animal lover and love cats, dogs and other fur babies as well. We currently have 3 cats and a 5 month old puppy that thinks she rules the world but is awfully cute. Even though I am not much of a computer gamer, I do love board games, cards, movies, being outdoors, as well as building legos or doing makeovers etc. I am also an avid reader, enjoy writing and can help with any homework as needed. I am also a sports fan and loyal to my hometown of Seattle but enjoy great games no matter who is playing. We adopted our 3 kids (biological siblings) from foster care when they were very young and they are now young adults working their way into full adulthood. We learned a lot thru the whole adoption process and I believe it’s been very beneficial in learning how to communicate with kids in some varying circumstances from temper tantrums or acting out against siblings etc. I am very patient and even though I am very easy going, I am not a pushover either and would enforce any rules that you provide. I am also more than happy to FaceTime or meet in person in advance if there are any questions at all or would just like to meet first.
