Hello! I am a former K thru 8 special education certified teacher available for childcare and tutoring. I have worked with children for over twenty years. I am CPR and first aid certified. I am patient, honest, caring, and kind and enjoy reading, writing, drawing and coloring, singing, dancing, and playing make believe.

As a mom to a 13-year-old, I understand what it takes to lovingly nurture a child’s growth and development. I believe early sensory stimulation plays a vital role in how children learn and connect with the world around them. Through hands-on activities like role-playing, outdoor exploration, music, and dance, I aim to create joyful experiences that spark curiosity and foster learning. In addition to raising my daughter and caring for my nieces and nephews, I have supported families both in the Bay Area and, for the past three years, here in Las Vegas. This has included working with local families as well as visiting families in hotel settings, giving me valuable experience adapting to different environments and schedules. I have cared for children from newborns through age 12, across a wide range of cultural backgrounds, always respecting each family’s unique needs and values. I also have experience working with children who may be going through challenging behavioral phases. With patience, empathy, and by working closely with parents, I’ve helped guide children toward more positive interactions, supporting a calmer and more respectful home environment. Lastly, my background in culinary arts allows me to prepare meals that not only nourish but also delight young taste buds, helping to foster healthy eating habits from an early age.

Good day! My name is Laura and I reside in Las Vegas along with my husband and 3 children (18, 19 and 21). We have lived in LV for years and have no issues if help is needed at the strip, downtown, Henderson etc. I am a Certified Surgical Technician and currently work PT. I’ve been CPR certified for years and am very comfortable with basic first aid. I am able to assist with child care, adult/senior care, transportation, and any errands that may be needed. I am also an animal lover and love cats, dogs and other fur babies as well. We currently have 3 cats and a 5 month old puppy that thinks she rules the world but is awfully cute. Even though I am not much of a computer gamer, I do love board games, cards, movies, being outdoors, as well as building legos or doing makeovers etc. I am also an avid reader, enjoy writing and can help with any homework as needed. I am also a sports fan and loyal to my hometown of Seattle but enjoy great games no matter who is playing. We adopted our 3 kids (biological siblings) from foster care when they were very young and they are now young adults working their way into full adulthood. We learned a lot thru the whole adoption process and I believe it’s been very beneficial in learning how to communicate with kids in some varying circumstances from temper tantrums or acting out against siblings etc. I am very patient and even though I am very easy going, I am not a pushover either and would enforce any rules that you provide. I am also more than happy to FaceTime or meet in person in advance if there are any questions at all or would just like to meet first. Whether you are working, on vacation, date night or whatever the reason you need someone to help with your family, you can be confident that I will take great care of them as if they are my own. 🙂❤️
