My name is Luke and I'm a graduate of New York University ('16) with a BFA in Drama. Some of my favorite things to do are go to Broadway shows (obviously), playing tennis, writing, and going for a run along the Hudson River while jamming to Taylor Swift. I enjoy all things Harry Potter and will talk with anyone about it for hours. I've been babysitting in various capacities since I was 14. First, it was occasionally babysitting my neighbor's daughters while she cleaned the house or ran to the store. After that, I did some student teaching in first and second grade classrooms for a year, along with babysitting kids who were involved with my high school's musical productions. Just before graduating college in 2016, I transitioned into date night and after-school babysitting in NYC, working for close to 200 different families (so far)! My favorite thing about babysitting is making a connection with the kids I work with. Relationships are very valuable to me, regardless of if it's my family, my friends, or the people I work with. Being able to know that I've made not only a bond with the kids, but a positive impact as well, is the most rewarding part of my job. When it comes to working with kids, I've basically done it all at one time or another. Among my favorite jobs have been being a nanny for a number of incredible families after-school; working at a children's theatre in Manhattan, where I taught musical theatre classes for ages 3-14; and working as a tennis and theatre counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Maine, where I taught girls ages 7-16 and was a bunk counselor for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Most recently, I've worked at several day camps in Manhattan - Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp, where I was the On-Site Program Manager for two years, and Steve and Kate's Camp at Kips Bay, where I was the Site Director. I am currently the PS 527 Program Director for the Imogen Foundation, an after-school program focusing on SEL and emotional literacy. I am very skilled in managing large groups of kids. As a camp counselor, you quickly learn to think on your feet because there's nothing more stressful than dealing with 200 incredibly bored kids stuck inside on a rainy day. Through my teaching experience, I've learned quite a bit of classroom management and how to command the attention of a room. Whether I'm working with one kid or several dozen, I have the experience to make the most of any situation. I look forward to hearing from you! :)

Luke was very flexible and good with our toddler.

Hello families! I am a third grade teacher living in Brooklyn. I have been a full time teacher for ten years and have over fifteen years of experience working with elementary and middle school age children in classroom and home settings. I began working with children when I started babysitting my toddler twin cousins, and have worked in education and childcare for over ten years. I currently teach fourth grade in Brooklyn. I’ve previously taught first grade, third grade, and K-12 art therapy. I am excited to work with all ages of children, and love to engage in their favorite activities with them. Thanks so much for reading, I look forward to working with you! Best, Leanne

Leann was wonderful and our 5 year old really enjoyed her. She was on time, friendly, and enjoyed the two dogs! We will definitely use her again.

I'm a NYC native that has lived and worked as a nanny in both NYC and LA. I graduated from NYU with a BA in Creative Writing and minored in Early Childhood Education - which has benefited me greatly in my time spent with kids! I am from a large family and grew up around a bunch of kids. I've been babysitting for ten years, have been a full time nanny for 5, and have also taught as a children's music teacher, and summer camp swim instructor. I pride myself on being responsible, outgoing, and honest. A hectic household has always been familiar to me; and is sometimes where I feel most comfortable! I'm a runner, a writer, and live a really healthy and active lifestyle. As a nanny, I always try to lead with kindness and curiosity. I really believe in following the interests of the kids and allowing them to have safe and creative spaces to explore childhood and the various emotions that come with that. I'm just as comfortable taking a 3 year old to a museum as I am playing soccer or freeze-tag in the park -- and always try to find fun in the dull moments! I'm currently looking for full time positions. *I charge for full time booked if cancelled within 12 hours

Elise was wonderful! We were just visiting New York for the weekend, and felt a little nervous leaving our kids with someone we didn't really know. But we did a short call with Elise prior to our visit and immediately could tell that she is incredible! Trustworthy, kind, and our two kiddos took to her immediately. Would not hesitate to hire her again.

Hey! I’m Emily. I’m a creative an compassionate caregiver, available for once in a while or part-time day or night time babysitting! I also can help with pets (over 8 years of professional petcare experience), homework, pick ups and drop offs (valid driver's license), etc. I’m an actor and a yoga teacher, have experience with sick and elderly care, and I love to read and hang out and play outside!

We had a last min need for a sitter for our 3yo while visiting NYC. Emily was the first to respond when we posted the job. She reached out that AM proactively to confirm, was responsive (took my call) and arrived on time. My wife met her and said she was very nice/professional. We'll be sure to reach out to Emily again next time we are in NYC.

My capacity extends to include support with pet care for small/medium dogs and cats. I am however, open to learning to care for other pet types sans reptiles. I am happy to help our furry friends with: —> Walking —> Feeding —> Sitting If you may need a house sitter, I can support w errands, and organizing. I would be happy to connect over call/FT to learn more about your family’s needs to ensure that you get the timely care that’s requested, as well as sharing more detail about my experience and history. As a native New Yorker, I do not yet have a driving license but I am working on getting one very soon. To fill that gap I can happily coordinate other means of transportation to ensure that there is no impact. Looking forward to connecting with you soon. Cheers!
