I’m the middle child of three children, and one of 22 grandchildren in my family so I am very accustomed to being surrounded by young children running around! My mother has worked as an early childhood educator/administrator my entire life. Many of the tactics she utilized in her classroom were the same ones she used raising my siblings and I. Hi! I'm Morgan and I have almost two decades of childcare experience. I've lived in New York for the past 9 years and currently based in Bed-Stuy. Originally from Orlando, Florida, I made my way north by way of UNC-Chapel Hill, where I graduated before ending up in Brooklyn. Over my nearly decade in NYC, I've worked with several families long-term, and I've also spent time as a long-term substitute teacher in Florida. Hi, my name is Mashiyat and I have been working with kids since I was 16 and have always enjoyed it. I worked my summers in high school at a science and engineering camp where I was a counselor for ages 5-7. I became early education and care certified in college when I was a teaching assistant for the on campus daycare primarily as an infant/toddler daycare teacher. In addition to providing direct care for the babies in my classroom, I also have experience working with infants as a medical assistant for a pediatrician’s office and worked directly with families at a children’s hospital to enroll them into clinical trials.
