Hi families, My name is Sophia, I am a 25-year-old experienced nanny with a bachelor's degree in International Business. I am offering child care, pet care, senior care, and household services. During my time in college, I discovered I am a people person and love to be around kids. This made me volunteer as a teacher and start my journey working as a nanny even though I have accumulated some experience since I was even younger. I have always cared for children of all ages, from newborns to school-age kids. I am CPR certified with years of experience as a nanny. You can trust that your kids are going to be in good hands. I am very responsible, I always show up on time, and I have special care for kids. I hope I can be considered, and we can have a conversation. I would love to hear from you soon. Best regards, Sophia
“Sophia was great with our 3 year old daughter and very punctual and responsive! ”
Hello! My name is Evelyn. I’m 27 years old and a caring, reliable, and professional babysitter with over six years of experience working with children. I am currently pursuing my MBA at Baruch College in New York after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. My studies gave me a deeper understanding of child development, family dynamics, communication, and social behavior, which helps me better understand each child’s unique needs and build positive relationships with both children and parents. After attending college and working with children for three years, I proudly served four years in the U.S. Army, where I strengthened my leadership, responsibility, patience, and organizational skills. My military experience helped me become calm under pressure, dependable, and adaptable, qualities that I bring to every family I work with. Caring for children has always been my passion, and I love creating a safe, happy, and engaging environment through play, learning, and positive interaction. In my free time, I enjoy working out, reading, cooking, and staying organized. Spanish is my first language, and I’m happy to speak Spanish with children if parents would like to introduce or reinforce the language at home. I’m proud to have many wonderful reviews and repeat families. References are available upon request.
“Easy to work with and great with my daughter!”
Hi! I'm Isabelle, am 29 years old and live in NYC. I have an AA in Art and a BA in Politics. I work as a case manager/community organizer at a food pantry on the UES. I used to babysit during college and always enjoyed it which is why I still occasionally enjoy picking up some gigs here or there :) I grew up in Germany with an American mother, a German father, and am the oldest of 4 siblings. I'm fluent in both German and English and have worked with bilingual kids in both a nanny and teaching environment. After graduating from HS in Germany and professionally working in the performing arts growing up, I was interested in working socially with families and kids who were less fortunate/had special needs. In the summer of 2015, I started an art+living project in Germany with kids and families who had fled their countries. In 2016, I became part of a therapeutic horse farm that focused on working with kids with special needs. I was the outdoor teacher and leader of an inclusive forest group consisting of 5-7 children aged 4-10 years old. Upon moving to the USA in 2017, I worked as a teacher at the Seattle Waldorf School and absolutely ❤️ it. In the summer of 2022, I worked with kids in Ukraine+Poland, primarily teaching or working with mothers and babies. I've been working with runaway homeless youth at places such as The Door and The Ali Forney Center for the past several years. Working with kids has always brought me joy and kept me grounded during hectic times. I nannied during undergrad and, while I have experience with children of all age ranges, I have primarily worked with infants and babies during their first year of life. I have experience with night-nannying, sleep training, feeding, and multiples. For those of you with older kids, bedtime routine is no problem either as I have had many longer term after-school gigs as well. I am confident in navigating the city responsibly, including school pick-up, and use of public transit. As a nanny, I'd describe myself as relaxed, punctual, reliable, flexible, confident, reasonable, communicative, consistent and dedicated. I very much enjoy working with families of different backgrounds, and I am absolutely LGBTQ+ family-friendly, being part of one myself. I can provide references and am happy to answer any further questions. I'm vaccinated and CPR trained. ⭐️ When I'm not nannying, I am playing soccer, going for a run, cheering on the WNBA+ NWSL, going out with friends or staying in with my books.
“Isabelle was great. On time, asked thoughtful questions and kept us updated on how our girl was doing. ”
My name is Sam, and I'm excited to introduce myself as a potential caregiver for your family! With over a decade of experience in childcare, including watching infants, toddlers, and kids since the age of 12, I bring a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to the table. I went to the University of Virginia (UVA), and graduated in 2022. One of my favorite classes during my time there was Child Psychology! Beyond babysitting, I've spent four summers volunteering in a children's hospital. I had rotations in the NICU and on the long term care floors. I also served as a camp counselor at UVA's Camp Kesem, a week long summer camp for children whose parents have cancer. These experiences have deepened my understanding of child development and honed my ability to create a safe and engaging environment for kids of all ages. In addition to childcare, I'm more than happy to lend a hand with household tasks, whether it's cooking, cleaning, or running errands. Plus, being a pet lover myself, I'm fully equipped to provide top-notch care for your furry family members, including feeding, playtime, and walks. I'm eager to learn more about your family's needs and how I can contribute to making your lives a little easier and a lot more fun! Let's connect soon to discuss further. Thanks! Sam
“Samantha was awesome! Our daughter had a great time going on a Brooklyn adventure while I was there for work! So happy we met Samantha and my daughter felt so safe and comfortable with her! ”
*****Taking a few weeks off from bookings to focus on a recovering from a health flare up. Will hopefully begin taking bookings again around 9/15. Thank you for understanding**** *****Please note: I am immunocompromised and have an autoimmune disease so I cannot watch sick children and must limit time outside in extremely hot weather. Hi! I'm Ali. I’m originally from Seattle and moved to New York in 2015 to study acting. I joined UrbanSitter during college and have been using it as my day job ever since. I have 18 years of childcare experience, ranging from date nights and private nannying to daycare and summer camps. Over the last four years I have began working in arts education as a teaching artist and youth theater director. I’m the 2nd oldest of 10 so I’ve been around young kids my entire life and am used to watching multiple kids at once. Due to being CPR and First Aid certified since I was 12, I’ve gained years of experience watching kids with varying disabilities and medical conditions, and am very familiar with working with children who are autistic, have epilepsy, or have life threatening food allergies. My go to activities are coloring, board games, going to the park, reading, movies, and arts and crafts. Outside of childcare, I am an actor, writer, and run an indie theater/production company. I’ve spent the pandemic studying trauma informed, consent based rehearsal spaces and mental health first aid. Both of these skills have been easily transferable to my childcare work. I have experience teaching at after school programs using the Montessori Method and have been working more as a teaching artist lately, doing theater and improv with kids. Cancellation policy: cancellation less than 24 hours my policy is full payment. If it’s within 72 hours, it’s half the agreed payment, and more than 72 there isn’t a fee. If you come home more than 15 minutes late with no communication I reserve the right to charge a late fee on top of that extra time. If you come home early I still charge for the full time booked since I had to block that time out in my calendar, unless we’ve agreed on it beforehand.
