Hi there! My name is Lindy and I’m a 26-year-old artist and textile-maker living in Brooklyn. I graduated cum laude from NYU three years ago where I studied mental health with a focus on children and adolescents. I am passionate about early childhood, and this fall, I’ll be back in school working towards my masters degree in art therapy. In the mean time, I’m looking for part-time nanny work and regular babysitting opportunities! :) I adore children and have been babysitting since an early age. In addition, I have experience working as a teacher’s assistant at my local temple, a day care assistant, and as an intern at a children’s arts camp in Brooklyn. In total, I have over 5 years of experience caring for children aged 3 months to 12+. I've spent the past three years since graduating college nannying part-time. One of my previous nanny families described me as “kind, sensitive, attentive, and simply a lovely human being…who has very much become a part of our family.” I am fully vaccinated and boosted as well as CPR and First Aid certified. Let me know if you’d like to speak to my references!
“Lindy helped us out last minute when our full-time caregiver had a family emergency. She was calm, kind and mature and easygoing about our toddler being in a cranky mood. Our 5 year old also had fun playing with her. ”
Hi! My name is Sophia and I currently work at an advertising agency. I'm the eldest daughter of 5 kids and so taking care of others at all stages of life has been something I've grown up with. I am offering child care, pet care, and household services. I have been babysitting for 12 years and nannied for 1 year and have enjoyed every opportunity I get to care for kids. I have experience with a wide range of age groups from infants to 12+ year olds. Families I have previously cared for say that I am kind, attentive, fun, compassionate, responsible, and always with a smile on my face. My responsibilities have included driving/to and from camps and swim lessons, crafts, and cooking. Some of my other skills include household services like cleaning. I was a paid cleaner for a year and in my personal life take pride in having a clean home. I also offer the services of running errands, laundry, and organizing. I have also had opportunities to care for a variety of pets - everything from dogs to cats to lizards to hamsters and more. My experience in pet sitting has involved walking, feeding, and playing with the animals.
Hi! I’m Dana — a NYC-based babysitter who’s new to UrbanSitter, but with over a year of part-time childcare experience for a family here in the city. I currently still work with this family on a salaried basis and am looking to pick up occasional babysitting and part-time work. The family I work with has three children, currently ages 7–12, and I’m comfortable caring for children ages 3 and up. My background also includes teaching summer camp, leading a children’s choir at church, and handling after-school pick-ups and daily routines. I’ve lived in New York City for 8 years and know the city very well. I’m extremely comfortable navigating neighborhoods, transportation, school schedules, and the general pace of city life, which helps me stay calm, organized, and reliable. In addition to childcare, I bring a wide range of professional experience, including working as a MainStage performer for Disney Tokyo and at Trader Joe’s. These roles strengthened my communication skills, dependability, and ability to stay positive, focused, and adaptable in fast-paced environments. I’m upbeat, punctual, and very engaged, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids — whether that’s doing creative activities, supporting routines, or being a steady, caring presence. I’m comfortable caring for multiple children and pride myself on clear, thoughtful communication with parents. I’d love to connect! If you’d like a reference from the family I currently work for, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to share. Please message me with any questions or to set up an interview. I look forward to meeting you and your kids!

Hello there! A little bit about me 😊 I’m currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with the goal of becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist! I have 4 going on 5 years of experience working with children in special education, early intervention, private nannying, and childcare. Most of my experience comes from working at a school for children with autism and an early intervention center. I love keeping childcare fun, playful, and lighthearted, while also being comfortable working with a variety of behaviors, developmental needs, and communication styles. I bring patience, structure, and an educated approach while still making sure kids can be kids! I’m currently looking for a part-time position of around 20 hours a week or less. I’m especially experienced with special needs children, but am just as comfortable with typically developing children. Please reach out if we sound like a good fit! 😊
