I can also help with light household tasks if needed. Experience: I’ve cared for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children through both family and volunteer settings. I enjoy creative play, reading time, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and helping kids learn new skills. Special skills: I’m great at creating learning games, helping with homework, and encouraging positive routines. I also enjoy cooking healthy snacks and doing simple crafts or outdoor play that keep children active and happy. I love making a positive impact on children’s lives and giving parents peace of mind knowing their kids are in good hands!
Hello! I’m Isabella and I am new to the city! I was born and raised in Venice Beach, CA. I moved to New York to be closer to my family who lives on the east coast and to have a new experience while I am in the early stages of my career! I studied Psychology at UC Santa Cruz where I focused on childhood and adolescent development. Throughout college I was a nanny and worked af a local preschool where I was able to conduct my senior research project on emotional regulation in I nannied throughout college and formed strong and lasting relationships with the families I worked with. Many families I worked with prioritized Montessori schooling methods, so I am familiar with that style of learning. My first year out of college, I worked as a Teacher’s Aide at a school for special needs children. I worked with children ages 7-14 who had varying IEP’s for things like autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, among others. I was trained in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) methods to de-escalate high-stress situations. I am a highly patient, playful, and responsible person, and I take pride in working with families and children. In the next couple of years, I would like to go back to school for a Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy, as I am interested in relationship dynamics and communication strategies. In my free time, I love to be active and outside! I’ve played volleyball my whole life, so I am eager to find a rec league in the city so I can play. I also love to travel and am lucky that my family prioritized this growing up, so I’ve been lucky to travel with them! My experience as a nanny has varied depending on each family’s needs, but I am familiar with school pickup/drop-off, snack and meal planning, homework help, bed/bath time, and planning daily activities. I have experience and am comfortable with overnights after getting to know the family and their children, as well as traveling as needed. I look forward to connecting and seeing if we would be a good fit:)
NYC born and raised (Lower Manhattan), I've been babysitting kids ages 1–12 for years and genuinely love it. Whether it's completing a puzzle on the living room floor, exploring the city together, or picking them up from practice or class, I'm happiest spending time with kids and keeping them engaged. I'm experienced with the full routine from meals, bedtime, baths, the works, and I take full responsibility to make sure everything is taken care of for the child. I have a very flexible schedule over the next few weeks before heading back to college, so I can work around your family's needs.
Hi, my name is Marguerita! I’m a Brooklyn nanny with over 30 years of experience in caring for children of various ages. As of recently, I earned my CNA license and became CPR certified. I’ve also expanded my child-care knowledge through participation in several nanny and speech therapy workshops over the last couple of years. I enjoy facilitating indoor and outdoor activities, providing homework help (when able), and cooking. I look forward to working with you and your kids!
Hi families! I’m a 30-year-old, reliable, energetic, and experienced sitter transitioning from a corporate career back to grad school for clinical psychology. I have been caring semi-regularly for children since I was 12 years old. I grew up with four siblings—two of whom are 12 years younger than me—and I played an active role in helping raise them. That hands-on experience continued through college and my corporate working life here in NYC with dozens of families (new to UrbanSitter, previously used HelloSitter). It has also recently come full circle as I’ve supported my siblings with their own babies, helping with everything from the sensitive postpartum newborn stage to chasing active toddlers. After several years in the corporate tech world, I’ve left to pursue my master’s degree. This schedule change allows me to return to what I genuinely love: hanging out with kids. I bring the “adult” reliability of a former professional (punctual, communicative, safety-conscious) mixed with the warmth and energy of a seasoned aunt/uncle. I am comfortable with all ages, confident with bedtime routines, and happy to help with homework or light meal prep. Looking forward to meeting your family! Note: I built the majority of my career in journalism, and I love tutoring if any kids need help with their homework or college essays!
“Mara is so wonderful. Very responsive, capable, warm, communicative… and my kids immediately liked her. ”
