Last year, I transitioned out my teaching role and now own a travel agency. Now that I'm no longer in the classroom I primarily support families with providing occasional care for after school, family nights out, last minute cancellations, as well as nannying abroad. I am oldest sister of 3 and was the primary sitter for my brothers growing up. They inspired me to become a teacher and bring love and compassion into the classroom, and now anywhere I go. Hello, I'm Gina and I’m so excited to work with you! I’m a graduate of NYU where I received my Masters of Music in Vocal Performance (musical theatre). I’ve received in person guided and hands on training/instruction and certification in both adult and infant First Aid and CPR. I’m the middle child of three children, and one of 22 grandchildren in my family so I am very accustomed to being surrounded by young children running around! My mother has worked as an early childhood educator/administrator my entire life. Many of the tactics she utilized in her classroom were the same ones she used raising my siblings and I. I’ve learned much of what I use in childcare from her, including helping the young ones with their coursework! I’ve cared for children from 2 weeks up to 12 years. I enjoy incorporating my knowledge and experience with art into my work with children because I believe it helps them to express their creativity. I grew up in a small town in Missouri and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. I graduated with a degree in Theatre. I am the oldest in my family and took care of my younger brothers, as well as younger cousins, growing up. From age 13 through high school, I babysat for a local family who had six kids all between the ages of 7 and newborn. I taught dance through high school and my first two years of college. I taught 3-5 year olds as well as pre-teens and teenagers. I am happy to help with homework and projects or anything else they may need!

I have over 15 years experience formally babysitting a variety of age ranges. In addition, I have been a camp counselor, a tutor, a youth group peer leader, and a resident assistant in the dorms while in college.
