Hi I'm Hannah!. I'm a former preschool and kindergarten teacher, experienced sitter looking for a part time, weekend or occasional evening gig. I work in theatrical and live events. When not doing so, I support kiddos and their families. I am a licensed driver but am also happy to walk anywhere or use a subway. I’m CPR & first aid certified. I’m a recent Yale graduate with a masters degree in stage management. After working in a preschool during the pandemic, I worked in a Chicago area preschool classroom for almost two years in both the 2-12 month and 4 & 5 year old classrooms. In the spring of 2020; I graduated with a BA in early childhood, elementary education, and theatre. I am passionate and emphatic about viewing and valuing the child as a capable individual with a sense of agency. Hello! I have worked with families with newborns to preteens and as an educator with students from 2nd grade to 12th grade over the past 9 years. I’ve created steam and art programs for all ages, from toddlers to teenagers, that engage a diversity of learners. I’m especially interested in organizing non-screen related activities. Hi! My name is Cris I am from the Dominican Republic and I am based in Brooklyn. I have a BA in Anthropology + Social Practice. I have 4 years of experience in education: 2 years working in elementary after school programs as a creative writing teacher + 2 years as a full time middle school humanities teacher. Every summer for the last two years I have worked part time in a daycare, primarily caring for infants and toddlers. I currently work as an ELA teacher at an arts high school. I am passionate about community organization, art, literature, and learning. While enrolled in a research program in Costa Rica I worked in a small rural primary school as a teacher’s aid and English + Social Sciences instructor. I mostly worked with children ages 3-12 as well as children with special needs and disabilities. During this time I helped the school community organize fun and unique activities for the students and worked directly with parents to assist in their children's progress. Since then I have been part-time babysitting here in the states. My time working with children has taught me how to encourage, support, and provide a sense of safety and care. Overseeing both large and small classrooms has made me well equipped to handle and diffuse high stress situations with patience and caution.
