I grew up in a large Haitian family so I've been babysitting for as long as I can remember. When my studies brought me to Hamilton College, I continued to babysit for professors and administrators alike. There I pursued an interdisciplinary major in Genetics & Social Justice with a focus on reproductive health. As part of my major, I got the opportunity to study maternal and child health in the U.S., Vietnam, South Africa, and Argentina. Living and learning in such different environments exposed me to children of all ages and backgrounds and taught me that in the absence of a shared spoken language, games are a universal language that can create a genuine connection with children all over the world. For the past 8 years, I've worked as a private tutor with elementary school-aged children and provided academic support in a variety of subjects. I require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you’d like to cancel or reschedule a booking. Otherwise, I expect 50% of the payment for the booking. 2. I request a car service home for bookings ending after 8 pm. 3. I am willing to care for sick children as long as they’re not contagious, but please notify me in advance so I can plan accordingly. 4. I expect payment for the full booking even if you return home early. 5. My booking minimum is 3 hours. 6. My pricing for babysitting and private tutoring are distinct. I consider myself a big advocate of child-directed play, learning, and exploring but of course within a structure. I believe that children do best in environments where they are respected and understood. Having a caregiver understand how you feel as a child, and empathize with your feelings, while still setting boundaries, makes a big difference in their lives. I also LOVE furbabies, whether they're dogs, cats, or exotic pets, I’m a huge animal lover and enjoy interacting with them. My hobbies are photography, video editing, and writing. 🔸 SAFE COMMUTE: To ensure my safety and because things have changed drastically since early 2020, I require a car (Uber, Lyft, Curb, etc.) from or to your home depending on the time when your booking ends or starts. These apply for bookings that either start before 8:00 a.m. or that end after 8:00 p.m. (20:00). 🔸HOLIDAY RATES: When working holidays I do ask for 1.5x my standard rate. It is updated daily but if there’s a time slot you need and don’t see available, please message me to inquire about it! 🔸CANCELLATION POLICY: I understand things may come up requiring you to cancel. I require 48 hours' notice for any cancellations. For less than 48 hours' notice, I charge 50% of the time booked. For cancellations of less than 24 hours’ notice, I require full payment for the time booked. This can be paid through a variety of money transfer apps: Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, or Paypal.

Hi! I'm Moni. I work in a flexible freelance role, and occasionally babysit and help with organizing spaces on the side when I'm free. I've always had a nuturing side from a young age from helping out my family with their kiddos and for many pets.
